All My Children may have ended its run today, but at least Angie Hubbard landed on her feet elsewhere!
Here is a sneak peek of the network’s promo touting Morgan’s much-anticipated arrival to CBS’ The Young and the Restless. Sadly, the network is keeping its lips sealed about the character, but here is what we can say about her new daytime alter-ego: She is not assuming the role of Drucilla Winters. (Only one gal can and should play that part!). She won’t be hooking up with Victor now that Diane is dead, nor will she be fingered in blondie’s death. She’s not even coming on to play a concerned sister/aunt/cousin to the preggers Sofia.
Does that narrow it down enough? Who do you think she’ll play?
I’m pretty sure she’s Yolanda, Devon’s mother.

I agree, got to be Yolanda. Although, I hope this is the end of the new characters on YnR. They are starting to pull away from the cast that make this show spectacular. Sorry the other shows ended, but don’t mess up by hiring all those people. Keep the focus on your original, tried and true, cast.
The originals stories are getting boring and recycled. They “need more people”…

Dang, I thought my cmumote was pretty long. I drive about 30 miles to work every day, due to traffic it takes me around 45 minutes. Miami drivers are THE WORST!Luckily in the mornings I listen to my favorite radio show, and in the afternoons I’ll plug in the i pod or take the extra time to catch up with some old friends on the phone.
Gotta go with Yolanda, Devon’s mother as well. Lots of daytime actors looking for work. I bet Days, GH, Y&R and B&B will all be getting new characters in the next few months.
Who doesn’t love Debbi Morgan?! My ONLY concern: Not enough screen time for our beloved vets on this show already! It’s hard to have the likes of Genie Francis (icon); Debbi Morgan (icon) on the same show as Jess Walton, Jeanne Cooper, Sharon Case, Michelle Stafford, Tracey Bergman, and all of the fabulous women who populate Genoa City. I just fear our longtime veteran actors may get less time on air.
She’s Yolanda. Expect an Ashley/Tucker/Yolanda triangle now that we know Devon is Tucker and Yolanda’s secret love child.
Oh, and it looks like we’re going to get an Abby/Devon/Roxy triangle to mirror the veterans.
Jan Petters (Mom) December 6, 2011 Unfortunately the squirrel post has been taken off by the NFL. So I mesisd seeing it boo! This reminds me when years ago I and friends were at the Indy 500 (Memorial Day weekend when it should have been fairly warm). It was soooo cold that the race car tires were havng trouble. What should have been a couple hours turned into hours and hours. We weren’t prepared for the cold and had only lightweight clothes guess we didn’t look at the forecast! Miserable day!!!
Not familiar with her work but I know she was a big deal on All My Children. Hopefully she won’t be another big daytime name that Y&R hires only to be given a lame or absurd story. Genie Francis as psycho woman has been a total disaster.
Not only was she a big deal on AMC, she’s a fantastic film actress as well. Do yourself a favor and track down Eve’s Bayou. Debbi Morgan was robbed of a Best Supporting Actress nomination for her role in that movie.

Debbi Morgan was also in ROOTS: Next Generations. And lots of independent films. She’s great.
Jenny August 26, 2011 I hate long commutes and with tfrfaic in Atlanta you never know when you might have one. I have XM radio & I listen to audio books to help with the commute. I find it really helps to focus on things other than the tfrfaic, and there’s lots more music options that I want to listen to than what the radio plays (totally worth it!)

I’m happy she’s joining the cast, in whatever capacity. They seem to have their share of cops, lawyers and doctors already, as well as corporate executives. So….probably Yolanda…as long as she doesn’t bring Tyra (or Anna) with her! There’s a lot of potential here; I hope it’ll tie up some of those woefully loose ends for that s/l. OriginalYolanda just never felt fully fleshed out. I totally expect Ms. Morgan to have chemistry with most if not all of her co-stars, and I’m betting she can hold her own with Tucker, Katherine and TGVN. Welcome aboard!
