Derek Hough definitely worked his magic Monday with Ricki Lake: The talk show host topped the leaderboard with a 23 out of a possible 30 points with their jive. And Lake did it in a skimpy confection that she promises will be the first of many itty-bitty dresses.
“He just wanted it to move!” she told reporters. “I think it did. I love it. I feel great. I’m really getting in great shape. I’ll be wearing less and less clothing. The smaller I get, the less will be covered. I certainly am feeling better in my skin. I lost 12 inches now in three weeks. I still have a little ways to go but I’m really, really happy with the progress I made.
“I’m sort of like delirious because it keeps going, this treadmill I’m on. It’s every day and now we’re onto the Rumba. It’s so much fun. This is the time of my life. It’s one of the hardest things my body has ever been through, physically. I’m really enjoying every minute of it.” — With reporting from Carrie Borzillo

your comment is rude – is she not entitled to feel better about herself? Take a good look at America, she is actually small compared to many overly obese people – she is sincere and honest and she looks great!
She can feel good about herself without exposing herself. She needa to calm down a little. Losing weight does not make you look like a model. It just means you can fit in smaller clothes.

I totally agree….since her first appearance package, all she mentioned was she was there to loose weight like Kirstie nothing about being on the show and just dancing!!!
Yeah – it’s getting old already. She seems like such a fun, vivacious girl. And she really seems to be enjoying it.
Plus, she’s 18 years younger than Kirstie, not to mention lighter and 14 years younger than Nancy Grace. And you don’t see Nancy playing the Kirstie card every week. Maks isn’t even Ricki’s partner!

please quit giving Rikki the highest scores just because her partner is Derek. Does Derek have something he can blackmail the show with if he doesn’t win? There were 3 or 4 couples better than Rikki. And Val was not as bad as they made it out to be….well other than that costume, Val what were u thinking!!

I like Ricki but she looks the same size to me as when she started DWTS, I see no difference.
