ABC’s Revenge got off to a strong start last week as we were introduced to the double life of Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp). The show pulled in a solid 11.4 million viewers, the network’s best debut in the time slot in four years. But can the show hold onto that momentum?
Stars VanCamp and Madeline Stowe, who plays Victoria Grayson, mother to Emily’s eventual murdered fiance Daniel, certainly think so. In tonight’s episode (10 p.m. ET), we take another step in Emily’s Tour of Retribution when we meet an uncle figure from her childhood who had a part in framing her father. “It’s so twisted, dark and juicy,” VanCamp tells EW. “It gets deeper and deeper and darker and darker and more twisted…Hopefully people will tune in long enough for us to lay down all the ground work and really get into it.”
Stowe feels that starting in this week’s episode and continuing into the others, viewers will start to get a sense of exactly how deep and dense the connections and storylines will go. “Mike Kelley has some far reaching plans that are deeply psychological and almost Hitchcockian in some ways. They’re off the hook.”
Earlier this week, Kelley told EW that fans will “get answers to all of the questions that the pilot poses by the 13th episode.” While mum on the details, Stowe added, “you’ll see stuff with Victoria that’s entirely unexpected down the line.”

I love this show! I love how every character is treated somewhat sympathetically. It kind of reminds me of the Nora Roberts novel “Sweet Revenge.” I love it!

Oh please? Who’s stupid enough to believe Daniel got shot. You never did see the guy’s face & the fact that Jack was checking the body & was seen there means he’s the least likely one to have done it.

Did you not watch the first episode where the sister and the guys she was fooling around with saw the dead guy on the beach and she went screaming to the engagement party and everyone came running…. it was definitely Daniel.
I’m certainly liking it more than I expected to. Looking forward to the Emily/Charlotte scenes.

Revenge is so sweet! I love how dark and twisty this show is. I didnt care for EVC before but she pulls off Emily/Amanda perfectly. Madeline really pulled off the evil queen look during her balcony scene.

After 2 episodes I’m hooked. Already a huge Van Camp fan, but this is the best part I’ve seen Stowe in. She stills every scene with just a look. Plus both episodes have been directed and produced by Phillip Noyce, an accomplished film director

I watched tonight’s 2nd episode and I still love it if not more! I really wish Daniel wasn’t the one shot/dead because I’m liking his character a lot as well.
Yes, this show is off the hook good! I am so pleasantly surprised with how good it is compared to all the other new shows. This one is by far my favorite! I am hooked can’t wait until next week’s show!
i misses the pilot last week but i manage to catch this week episode as much i could. can’t wait for next week. i’m wondering, could we see a male character based on the caharacter haydee from the count of monte cristo on the show sometime in the future? im thinking that guy can be played by michael shanks or mark dascasco.

Episodes of Revenge are posted the morning after they air on TV on Hulu. Just search for Revenge on Hulu and you’ll find it.
The reason why Im watching this show, is because the promos were very simple. It isn’t too complex and its different right now. my only worry is that how long will this revenge be? Like I’m thinking is this a mini-series or a show that can go on for more seasons to come? Id rather have it go on for more seasons. I wait for Wednesdays on ABC. 7-10pm central is Abc time.

LOVE LOVE LOVE revenge!!!! it better not get cancelled! its SOO good. cant wait til next week! never got into EVC’s shows before, but she is SOOOO good/fabulous/bad ass in this show! love her! and madeleine stowe is PERFECT for the role. she has the evil queen look down pat. cant wait to see what happens next!
