After the proposal heard round the world on last season’s finale of of Gene Simmons Family Jewels, tonight’s premiere (9 p.m., A&E) follows up with the Simmons-Tweed clan directly after Tweed accepted… albeit after a lengthy pause. Before the show airs live tonight, check out our exclusive sneak peek of Simmons and Tweed both expressing their anxieties about love and marriage to their therapist. "I just wasn't sure she'd say yes," admits Simmons. "I remember thinking, 'She could completely say, "Are you kidding?" turn around, and walk away.'" Tweed said matter-of-factly, "We still have a lot of work to do." All that said, Simmons and Tweed have made it official. Even after nearly 30 years together, they each tweeted in late July that they were taking things one day at a time. Do you think the marriage is going to last? I think the marriage will last. They’ve been together for a long time, marriage shouldn’t change that. I wish them nothing but happiness and I am still excited about the premiere tonight.
They’ve been “married” in everything but name for 28 years. What’s not to last?
What a fake! The alleged breakup and her storming off in the middle of interviews was just a pathetic attempt at ratings (not to mention bad acting). Good luck Shannon as soon as the show gets cancelled he’ll probably dump you.
I hope that their marriage does last. But Gene Simmons is the ultimate showman,could this all be just for the show? Gene was the luckiest SOB in the world to land Shannon Tweed,I hope he realizes it.

Gene has INVESTED well over half of his LIFE making his MILLIONS upon millions So that Shannon and their children could have a life and live the LAVISH “Life of RILEY”!!! And she acts like a prenup means “he doesn’t trust me, or he’s setting up our marriage to fail” Boo- F’N- Hoo Shannon…ya damm Straight Genes going to PROTECT himself.-Why shouldn’t he??..she went into this relationship 28 years ago, Nick is HOW old…he’s 22 so she had 6 years prior to getting pregnant and SHE had over “4500 hundred reasons” to walk away-but oh no.. she stayed, 6 years into the relationship gave him a Son, 3 years later a brat for a daughter THAT GENE has provided a life for the 3 of them fit for ROYALTY, yet they complain? Sophie at the Docs office last season, the NERVE of her to say she wasn’t happy with the way he was as a “DAD”? REALLY sweetheart ..but she was given every opportunity, served up on a silver platter & you betcha he was the BEST DADDY EVER when he signed a check, gave her a limitless credit card- all her trips to any place she desired on a Private Jet none the less so she got and still gets anything her privileged azz wants!! WHY? HOW? GENE! That’s HOW? GENE makes it possible for ALL of them to live the way they do, attend any college, for NICK to get any Gig he wants, HOW..because of who? DADO, that’s who! He has worked his behind off to have what THEY have …oh,..but he’s a bad dad, right Sophie, you spoiled BRAT!
Shannon Shannon SHANNON you said at the second show of this season in the Docs office, ” I want to be First in his life, When will I come FIRST in GENIE’S Life?? It’s Always Work, work Work… GAG!! Sweetheart, That WORK has put you in that mansion you are in, bought your sister her home to house all her kids cuz they each have a different baby daddy.. Gene has done something consistently and that is show you, Shannon, Us his fans, basically the world WHO that ONE women he loves, whom he has more RESPECT for than any other PERSON on this planet for that matter and that’s his MOTHER! She will ALWAYS be first…Ya knew it 28 years ago.. they don’t change…I got one myself…But like so many women they go into the relationship, accepting, Adoring everything the man IS & comes with (baggage & ALL) she takes that man then try’s to mold him into what she REALLY wanted after all…usually due to having a child in the relationship or …eeeks marriage.
So Gene good luck I think you’re amazing with all you’ve accomplished coming from poverty, your beautiful mother who suffered so to give you all she didn’t have…but her love and devotion to you made you strive to be a better man, give her a home as well. So you are a KIND generous person, Dad, MAN, Bassist, all around smart as h3ll business man….
I think you guys’ are a great couple! Your children are lovely, level headed, caring, strong young adults. You two make beautiful “music” together….
