TLC rings in 'The Brides of Beverly Hills' -- EXCLUSIVE

Brides are definitely beneficial to TLC, so the cabler has to decided to bring another matrimonial-themed show down its programming aisle. On Oct. 28, the network will debut The Brides of Beverly Hills, another unscripted series set in a salon that peddles those fabulous white frocks.

The latest venue for big-spending brides will be Renee Strauss, a Beverly Hills salon that serves all sorts of high-end clients from the Los Angeles area. “TLC is the destination for wedding programming, and Brides of Beverly Hills builds on the popularity of Say Yes to the Dress, Four Weddings, and our other successful series,” said Amy Winter, TLC General Manager, in a statement. “These brides and Renee’s business can only be found in one of the most talked-about towns in the country, and we know our audience will love this insider’s look at this premier wedding boutique.”

TLC has picked up 13 half-hour episodes of the show. Here’s a sneak peek of The Brides:

Yep, another show about spoiled B!tches!! I actually have a cousin who watches that channel! lol

  • Clete

I wish reality shows would just go away, but if television feels the need to have them, then think outside the box. Have a show set in the circus, following the daily lives of the crew who clean up the animal cages. I all ready have a title..”Follow the turd.”

    • Meg

And will you sue if this idea actually comes to fruition?

      • Jess

Clete might not, but I will!

  • Anna

They should change their name from The Learning Channel, to The Reality Channel.

  • Kate

This has been airing in Canada for awhile. Not as good as say yes to the dress, but some of the people are really fun to watch. will fit into nicely at TLC!

    • Renee Strauss

OUR SHOW IS DIFFERENT ! WE HOPE YOU ENJOY SEASON 2 EVEN MORE!’

I am sure once u got to see Renee and her staff the negative opinions will change .

As a future Bride-to-be I love all of TLC’s shows but I’m not sure about this one and let me explain. I like Bridal show that reflect what a large majority “real Life” women experience and a show about rich Beverly Hills weddings doesn’t sound like something I would enjoy. What would be the diffrence between this show and I think it’s WE or Oxygen’s…Gosh i forget the name of that wedding show with all the Bling and people pay close to a million dollars for a wedding…HATED IT! It’s so unrealistic. Well, correction…it’s realistic but for those of us sitting at home watching…not so much. I wish they come up with a show that displays the average bride creating her own style wedding w/a reasonable budget. TLC touches close on that with 4 Weddings. This Brides of Beverly Hills sounds more like a spin off to Bravo’s Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Tanya, I agree with you, rich Beverly Hills, CA isn’t enjoyable reality TV. Yes, I’ve watched The RHBH, & I pray each night that Lisa DOES NOT take beautiful Pandora to that Beverly Hills, CA bridal store. It would feel like inflicting pain on oneself to watch a parade of tacky, unelegant bridal gowns thrown over the bride with the employees gushing praises. Ugh! Please, please Lisa, spare us viewers! I beg you Lisa, please take Pandora to Kleinfelds’ or have her wedding gown personal made by a high-class, high-quality designer & seamstresses. Other reality TV shows are full of females who are ready to get married, renrew their vows, like the Repo owners, the hunters, cooks, etc., they would have their dreams come true in a bridal gown from store featured in Brides of Beverly Hills TV show.

The show is BRIDES OF BEVERLY HILLS! NOT: RICH Brides of Beverly Hills! Brides from ALL walks of life come to Beverly Hills for the selection and experience. I think you shall be pleasantly surprised by the show – give the first episode or two a chance and let me know what you think!

  • Lynn

Well I LOVE the show. Keep up the good work!!

  • Shari

This show is awesome and so are Renee and her staff. I had the pleasure of having Clara choose a lovely gown for me and I paid for it with my own money. Not all women in Beverly Hills are spoiled snobs and most of us earn our own living it is 2011 after all……

    Thank you for theupdate.

I’m happy to say that I am the featured bride in Episode 11 of The Brides of Beverly Hills! Renee Straus is awesome & so is her store, you will LOVE the show! And I’m happy to say I got married to John who you will see in the same episode :-) You can check us out on IMDB at imdb.me/eileenprudhont and imdb.me/johnprudhont or add us on Facebook also :-) Thanks so much, the new Mrs. Eileen Rene Prudhont

Eileen, your dress was absolutely stunning … who is the designer of your dress?

Wish you and John all the very best!

  • Shaneeqa

What? So, Beverly Hills, CA, where ladies can shop for highest price, highest class items, & this bridal store has tacky, low class gowns, can’t the Cyprus dress designer afford to fix her teeth, rude low class clients. Most expensive dresses shown are $10,000.? Disappointment. “Say Yes To The Dress” is best reality TV in the brides theme.

Loved seeing my friend Diamond Foxxx on there! I am fighting cancer currently but I hope to get better so that I too can go to Renee for my wedding dress. Love the show! Thanks Renee for keeping me cheered up during my chemo treatments and cancer.
