Agent swap! White Collar star Tim DeKay is set to play a different kind of government agent on NBC’s Chuck.
DeKay, who’s an FBI agent on the USA drama, will guest star in the eighth episode of Chuck‘s final season as “Kieran Ryker,” Sarah’s former CIA handler — a stoic, unflappable man who forces her to “confront her past and the choices she’s made.”
The actor joins a host of geek-friendly guest names for Chuck‘s home stretch, including Mark Hamill as a villain, Carrie Anne-Moss as a love interest for Casey, Community actor Danny Pudi and comic book legend Stan Lee.
Remember Chuck, along with new NBC series Grimm, were pushed back a week from their original premiere date, and and are now both set to debut on Friday, Oct. 28. The premieres are being billed as part of two nights of Halloween-themed programming, starting with special episodes of NBC’s Thursday night comedies, Community, Parks and Recreations, The Office, and Whitney.

Bomer’s character on “Chuck” was Bryce Larkin, not Blaine.

I’m sure they’d have hired an actor who needs work if the actor played it well.
Tim’s an awesome actor…actors (mostly) earn their roles. I’m not saying Miley Cyrus would have been cast in The Last Song if she had never become a huge star, because frankly she is horrible, TERRIBLE actress, but Joseph Gordon Levitt could sitll have gotten his role in Spielbergs upcomming drama Lincoln even if he hadn’t proven for more than a decade now that he is one of the best actors out there…

I am really sad that this is the last season on Chuck but so happy that it’s shaping up to be the most awesome season of television ever.
Ditto that. With all these guest stars, Morgan with the intersect AND Chuck/Sarah finally over the will they-won’t they hump…it looks like an awesome season.
My god,only thing better would be if they brought the gorgeous Bomer back as Bryce for a few eps

i feel weird to be happy that it is Chuck’s final season and that they flat out said so back in May.
Most of the story lines had been played out so Chuck will go out with a bang rather than a wimper.
I’m glad about Tim Dekay but I want Matt Bomer back whether it is flash backs or well anything to have more Matt Bomer.

They have used the “CIA abuses its power for the greater good” to much already. Why would their agents keep working for an organisation that abuses them?
