Larry King finally lands Johnny Depp for rare interview

Tags: , Movies

Larry King will interview Johnny Depp in his next CNN television special on Sunday, Oct. 16, at 8 p.m. ET. The 77-year-old had hinted at his plans to interview the Pirates of the Caribbean star back in the spring — calling Depp “high on the list” of subjects he’d never corralled — but today, he tweeted the news himself, including a photo from their recent sitdown.

Larry King needs to return to CNN. That British guy who replaced him is lame.

I thought Larry King died 2 years ago???

  • On a mission….

EW – please, please, please get rid of the gigantic “Fall TV” box on the home page. It is really annoying to scroll down past it every time to get to the other headlines below. Most fall TV shows have already premiered, and virtually every story in that giant box is an old headline we’ve already seen. If I want to revisit these past tv stories or get more information on any of the shows, I’ll click on the TV section. The home page should be for overall headlines -many of which are contradicted from “Latest Headlines” and “From our Blog” – so I like to see them all at one glance. Thank you!

YES PLEASE! Please get rid of the Fall TV box. It is annoying. Obtrusive. Much too obvious for people (like me) getting a quick sneak peak at the EW website while at work.

Now if only we could get our requests to the people who will actually notice. Since the EW board is always loaded with spam emails, I doubt the EW powers will see our request either.

Come back Larry ! Piers Morgan is dreadful!

    • Patsy JOLLY

Piers Morgan should go back to England~
      Come back Larry……..

  • Sally

Larry wasn’t all that great, but Piers is truly truly awful. First interview, George Clooney. George does not give a dull interview – he just can’t. And somehow Piers made even George’s interview dull. (although it was amusing that Piers had not done his homework about George’s prior marriage).

I wish Larry would come back too. At least when he was interviewing, he allowed the guests to actually talk. Piers takes over the interview and never lets go. stopped watching completely

  • Chris

The only problem with Larry is he tends to give “softball” questions to his interviewees. Maybe that’s why Depp agreed to be interviewed by him. He knows he won’t penetrate as deeply as some other interviewers.

  • ps.

I will be watching this interview, I just love Johnny, he is one of my favorite, people. I am a number one fan of his…….peace out.

YES PLEASE! Please get rid of the Fall TV box. It is annoying. @my best friend’s mom makes $77 an hour on the computer. She has been out of job for 9 months but last month her check was $7487 just working on the computer for a few hours. Read about it here, LazyCash5.com

I am really looking forward to Larry interviewing Johnny. Larry doesn’t pry but does let the guest be real. I remember his interview with Willie Nelson…loved it.

Oct. 16th? Yes!!! Happy Birthday to me!!! Great gift!!!

  • Roy_Munson

Will John talk in that stupid fake voice he always uses now?

  • del

I cannot wait for this interview, and I’m loving that Piers Morgan will do the honors!!! Love Johnny Depp!

  • rachel

I saw part of that interview in youtube but without sound!..I wan to hear his sexy voice! I love him

Great article. I can¡¯t wait to hear more about your research tool. If it is as good as your other products, then you will have another winner. Your article pretty much summed up what I have been seeing too. Great to see some hard data.

naturally like your web-site however you have to take a look at the spelling on quite a few of your posts. Several of them are rife with spelling issues and I to find it very troublesome to inform the reality then again I’ll surely come back again.
