Ghost Whisperer and Cleveland Show actor Jamie Kennedy is lining up a new gig as the host of a TruTV reality show in the works with the catchy title of Guinness World Records Gone Wild.
The pitch: Ordinary people try land a place in the famed record book. The records the show will attempt to break include the most panes of glass run through in one minute, fastest time to jump over three oncoming cars, highest dive into 12 inches of water, most kicks to the head in one minute, most live cockroaches held in the mouth and the most people crammed into a tiny car.
TruTV just made a pilot order for the program from High Noon Entertainment.
Jamie Kennedy made history himself earlier this year by playing the lead in the forthcoming film, ‘Lost and Found in Armenia’, which is the first ever all Armenian-financed major motion picture. I’ve always wanted Hollywood to make movies in Armenia.

Um… this idea had to be piloted? I seem to recall pretty much the exact same show ten years ago (Guinness World Records Primetime). Not bad enough that we’re recycling old scripted TV shows, we are now getting recycled bad reality shows too? Ugh.
And before that, there was “The Guinness Game” in the 70s.
And with jamie kennedy on top of it. Surprised they’re not sending out bags of feces to promote the show
