'Parenthood': Cee-Lo stops by Adam and Crosby's studio -- EXCLUSIVE VIDEO

Parenthood is getting an extra injection of awesome this week as Cee-Lo stops by for a guest appearance.

In this exclusive first look at his appearance, Cee-Lo is seen touring Adam and Crosby’s (not exactly complete) studio. But despite its rough appearance, Adam wins the mega-star over by explaining the studio was once used by Janis Joplin. The only problem? Crosby seems less than thrilled with Cee-Lo’s ambitious goals.

Watch the clip below!

Parenthood airs on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET

Yay I love CeeLo and Parenthood!

  • Jon

I really love Parenthood but I hope this storyline isn’t just middle aged white guy being awkward around rappers every episode.

Agreed…while I’m sure some found Adam’s antics funny I thought it was ridiculous. No way he’d buy and actually wear an outfit like that…

      • Joe

He said that he had the guy in the store dress him. He doesn’t know what is hip, so he would have believed anything.

It was a bit over the top, but I’m glad that the business is going to take off. I thought it was going to be another screw up by Crosby and Adam would regret going into business with him.

what does a drum machine/sample guy like Cee Lo need with a studio used for cutting band tracks?

    • Joe

      It’s a TV show?

it’s a show semi-based in reality. Crosby mentioned Sticky Fingers and the White Album in an earlier ep. couldn’t they have gotten an artist whose music is human-based? I saw Cee Lo and cracked up. that’s like casting Johnny Five as the new James Bond.

it just dawned on me that The Voice(which I avoid like an outbreak monkey) and Parenthood are both on NBC. so this is the modern Yo! MTV Raps/Thirtysomething crossover episode from hell.

Parenthood is an excellent show with exceptional writing and acting and C-LO should be a welcome addition to the story line next week. Baby Nora as well.

Peter Krause is an amazing actor. I absolutely love , after so many heavy scenes in this brilliant series, he is able to have some light comedic moments. Come on – he’s adorable. To anyone who thinks it’s ‘ridiculous’, the writers having a little fun with his character is seriously something that bugs you? Really? Because it takes something much greater than that in this world to get under my skin. Lighten up. What’s so fabulous about this show is that they are able to shift the mood of an episode by balancing the light with the dark. It’s not like this character hasn’t had his share of weighty storylines. It’s not like this epi didn’t contain some awesome drama (thank you Lauren Graham and Jason Ritter and John Corbett!). Peter has proved his worth as a dramatic actor, let him have fun with this. Like real life, I welcome the combo of smiles with the tears.

Well said… I agree with you. A little fun isn’t going to hurt.

This show really deserves a recap so we can vote on it for best show! Come on EW you guys rave about how great this show is but no Recap??? Yet, you recap shows like Dancing with the Stars and Jersey Shore. Please stop feeding the demons of trash tv and then complain about it!!! There are so many other shows that deserve a recap here like Parenthood, Sons of Anarchy, The Secret Circle, etcc…

    • Izzie

      Thank You, I totally agree.

    • Trent

Well said, @hlynn. Sunday Night Football gets an EW recap, but Parenthood, which is one of the best written and acted shows on TV, doesn’t? Come on, EW, help expose more people to this excellent show!

  • oh ok

    Luv Parenthood!
    Peter Krause..my hero :)
