Guess who’s coming for Thanksgiving dinner? Sarah Silverman and Jeff Goldblum have booked seats at the table for FX’s The League.
They’ll join a Thanksgiving episode of the comedy series, with Silverman playing Andre’s (Paul Scheer) sister and Jeff Goldblum as Ruxin’s (Nick Kroll) father. “Sarah and Jeff are funny and fearless enough to play Andre’s sister and Ruxin’s father,” said League co-creators Jeff Schaffer and Jackie Marcus Schaffer. “And they didn’t flinch when we told them all of the crazy things they’d be doing with our cast. Fools!”
Silverman was seen earlier this year in a guest star role on CBS’ The Good Wife. Since wrapping up Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Goldblum has been on Adult Swim’s NTSF:SD:SUV.

Can’t wait for this season to hit hulu…
because you wouldn’t pay ___ for this ___
If you like football and/or play fantasy football, you need to watch this show. This show is hilarious.
Even if you don’t like football, the show is hilarious!
I like playing football, but I won’t watching that show.
I am not a football fan, die hard basketball fan, but this show is hilarious. Most of the laughs have absolutely nothing to do with football or fantasy football and are funny on their own. I understand how fantasy football works, so maybe if you have no clue what it is you might feel lost, but its just a comedy show that is based around the league since its what keeps the main characters together as horrible as they are to each other.
I’m only a casual fan of football, and I know almost nothing about fantasy football, yet this is one of my favorite shows on TV. It’s hilarious!
I love The League! I’m a big football fan though, so I don’t know how appealing it is to non-football fans.
Very appealing
I’m not a fan of football at all, the only sport I like is ice hockey. But, my brother, dad, and boyfriend all like football, so I understand enough to get the football jokes. This is definitely one of my favorite shows on tv.
Sarah Silverman is a horse face. Has she ever been funny in anything?
No! So glad Jimmy dumped her!
Jimmy got rid of the jinx.
Show u right!
she’s much funnier than most female comediennes I’ve ever seen. I’d certainly rather watch her be ridiculous than see those insipid WHITNEY ads all the time
She’s funny, you’re just pissed that she’s a successful, funny woman and you haven’t done squat with your life. Sorry ’bout ya.
Blech. I prefer the League as is without adding these two for even one episode.
She looks like a spider monkey in the face. So does my cat but my cat is so cute.
Your cats butt is prettier than that face.
Doing the Shiva Shuffle! I have lusted after Jeff Goldblum since Earth Girls Are Easy. He is my fantasy second ex-husband. So excited to see him on a show that I look forward to every week.
Not so excited about Silverman. But I love the League guys (and girl) too much to miss out on an episode because of her.
BEST SHOW EVER
You obviously have to taste left.
My wife despises football, with fantasy football being even worse. My wife also LOVES this show, and for good reason. It is one of the funniest shows you will find on television…….PERIOD.
Hopefully these guest stints will go over better than Seth Rogen’s…nothing against Rogen, but the episode he appeared in was one of the series’ weakest.
sarah is ugly and does gross out humor to try to impress guys but her gross out stuff just makes her fdisgusting like when she named her book bedwetter.
I still remember her from the two-part season 3 episode of “Star Trek: Voyager” entitled “Future’s End”. She was so small-time back then and super cute! She’s so under-rated and am glad to see all the success she has had.
Cheers,
Doug
hillarious – im a fantasy football geek myself and love the show – the 1st season they kept things more current in relation with fantasy football – they have strayed a bit from that but still good – cant wait to see more
