President Obama to sit down with Jay Leno

President Obama will have a late night chat with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show next week. White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer says in a tweet that Obama will be on the show Tuesday. Obama will be traveling on the West Coast next week, raising money for his re-election bid and trying to boost public support for his jobs bill.

This will be Obama’s fourth time on Leno’s show. He made two appearances as a presidential candidate. His last appearance was in March 2009, shortly after taking office. NBC, which airs Leno’s show, said at the time that Obama was the first sitting president ever to appear on The Tonight Show.

Leno may try to take his job, too.

    • Al

Obama’s ratings are sinking faster than Conan’s

    • John

And that would be bad…how? :)

    • Scobes

Should have gone on Letterman. Don’t Obama’s PR people think of these things?

  • o0

He should go on Letterman because Letterman is 1000 times funnier than Leno .

    • Sam

But Letterman is now the male version of The View…he fawns in BO’s presence.

  • Mark

Here’s to hoping he goes on the View again!

  • ok

He’s not helping himself any. *Heavy sigh*

    • Samantha

I agree. :/ I like Obama but this isn’t going to get me to watch Leno.

  • Michael

These is what he NEED to do

    • Derek

      Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, is that you?

      • B

        hehe

  • cv

Big week for Leno: Obama on Tuesday, the Original 7ven (formerly the Time) on Thursday. Lord knows he needs the help.

  • Anthony

This will be a good interview especially now since Gadhafi has been killed and I am sure that this subject will be a part of the interview among other issues.

    • Peace

And the death of another human…no matter how bad…is considered funny?
      You’re sick.

      • Scobes

Uh.. what? Key word was INTERVIEW. No one said anything about being funny.

    • Barry

Obama will also try to take credit for this.

    • Jeff

Usually, the words “good interview” and “Leno” are not used in the same sentence.

  • KCWolf

Given Leno’s viewership, I’m guessing Obama is going after the coveted humor-impaired, terminally unhip and one-foot-in-the-grave demographics.

  • Sharon

Who cares! He needs to keep his behind in Washington, do his job and get us out of this mess! Is this trip also being funded by our tax dollars?

    • justsayinâ„¢

      god you’re an imbecile sharon

    • Barry

      I agree Sharon.

    • Jeff

were you screaming like this when bush was on his bi-weekly vacations?

    • Trubble

I agree. And everytime he comes to L.A. it’s during rush hour where his entourage gridlocks traffic and keeps people from getting home. Ever hear of Skype O? Stay on the east coast and do the job you were hired to do.

  • DramainMotown

    Herman Cain all the way!

  • Debbie Tyree

Obama’s hands are tied until the Senate passes ANYTHING!

    • Sam

I don’t think a jobs bill has been written. The Senate can’t pass something until there is a bill.
      Remember High School civics?

      • B

Um, it has been written. Please don’t think anymore, until you actually find information to base your opinions on.

    • Fitria

SmogHouseTradingCo@SuperGuitarman69 You went off on some tangent sbacuee you are insane. What does this have to do with returning the tax rates to where they are supposed to be? so far you’ve only regurgitated some info from a zeitgeist movie, I hope you have more to offer the actual conversation The more you make the more you must be taxed, any economist will tell you that, without it all the money ends up with one person who refuses to spend. It’s a simple concept, like blinds in poker. Try again?

  • Barry

I’m sure that he’ll take all of the credit for the “big” 3.5% increase in benefits for us disabled retirees.

  • Sharon

@justsayin’- if the truth hurts…then yes I AM an imbecile! I will not stand by and watch him make more of an a** out of himself. What a moron! Its a wonder he doesn’t have all our flags at half staff today…honoring Qaddafi (sp)! Wake up and realize what he is doing to our country. And no I am not a republican, democrat or an independent…I am a proud American that doesn’t want to see our country made the laughing stock of the world. Wise up idiot!
