President Obama will have a late night chat with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show next week. White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer says in a tweet that Obama will be on the show Tuesday. Obama will be traveling on the West Coast next week, raising money for his re-election bid and trying to boost public support for his jobs bill.
This will be Obama’s fourth time on Leno’s show. He made two appearances as a presidential candidate. His last appearance was in March 2009, shortly after taking office. NBC, which airs Leno’s show, said at the time that Obama was the first sitting president ever to appear on The Tonight Show.
Leno may try to take his job, too.

He should go on Letterman because Letterman is 1000 times funnier than Leno .
But Letterman is now the male version of The View…he fawns in BO’s presence.

Big week for Leno: Obama on Tuesday, the Original 7ven (formerly the Time) on Thursday. Lord knows he needs the help.
This will be a good interview especially now since Gadhafi has been killed and I am sure that this subject will be a part of the interview among other issues.

Given Leno’s viewership, I’m guessing Obama is going after the coveted humor-impaired, terminally unhip and one-foot-in-the-grave demographics.

I agree. And everytime he comes to L.A. it’s during rush hour where his entourage gridlocks traffic and keeps people from getting home. Ever hear of Skype O? Stay on the east coast and do the job you were hired to do.
