The Talk will have something fresh to address on Monday — a new co-host. The CBS daytime talk show has officially added Aisha Tyler, the actress best known for gigs on Ghost Whisperer and Friends, to the panel alongside Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood.
Tyler previously guest-hosted on the daytime show that celebrates its one-year anniversary this month. She’ll debut Monday, according to Deadline.
In 2009, Tyler shot an eponymous talk show pilot for ABC that was described as a cross between daytime and late-night talk shows. The hope was to take the actress’ show to syndication. She also co-hosted on The View as well as Entertainment Tonight.
Meanwhile, Tyler continues to lend her voice to FX’s animated series Archer as Lana.
As part of an attempt to revamp the year-old show, CBS has rotated in a number of gals to help fill the void left by Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete, whose contracts were not renewed. Kris Jenner did a stint, as did Molly Shannon.

Noooooo, she’s way too talented to be w/those bioytches!!
Geez they just couldnt leave well enough alone, huh? None of these ppl appeal to me. Leah was over the top but somewhat funny n interesting.
They are trying to be like “The View” by having two black comedians, but sorry Aisha Tyler is no Whoopi Goldberg, and Underwood is just as annoying (but not as racist) as Sherri Shepherd!
Sherri is a buffoon! She’s toned it down a lot, but i loved how Whoopi used to look at her with such disdain when Sherri would say something idiotic, which is OFTEN!
BTW, Aisha looks dumb w/ her hair in het face on that pic.
That show is RUINED!
It’s true = Tyler isn’t goldberg – she’s better in every way
That’s great news, however they will only be able to count on her for maybe 1 year. She has a reputation of getting bored quickly and moving on from all her gigs.
Now get rid of Underwood. She ruins the whole show!
I agree.
Don’t worry she will not be on long. if becomes popular Ms.Chen will have her bed buddy boss fire her. You ss the goal is to get everyone off and Julie will have the show to herself. the show had such great promise. it’s now just another VIEW
I agree. There can’t be a lady on the show who is poised, intelligent, and singularly pretty. That does pose a threat to Ms. Chen, it seems. Let’s see how long it lasts.
I tried watching one of her stand up performances and she is not that funny.
I agree. I like Aisha Tyler, but I watched her stand up once and it was painfully unfunny.
what a coup for The Talk. Love Aisha! saw a show she guest hosted, and it was great. Would rather watch this than that other show which has devolved into a cat fight mess
LOVE her, used to watch her on Talk Soup too. but I couldn’t care less about The Talk…it seems too daytime bland and beneath her somehow. at least she’ll have a steady job.
there was nothing wrong with “the talk” before lady macbeth, i mean julie chen, decided to get rid of leah and holly. the show had a nice chemistry, but for whatever reason, julie brings on all these people who have no chemistry with each other. i refuse to watch it now.
I preferred Molly Shannon, but I like Aisha Tyler as well, so I’m pretty happy. I couldn’t stand Leah Remini, and Holly Robinson Peete was very bland, so I like the new panel.
Love your handle, wish Whoopi could be President.
I will never watch this show again. Holly and Leah made the show interesting. Julie is very obnoxious and not very interesting. Long Live Nate Berkus whose a great person.
I didn’t realize Molly Shannon was only temporary. Aisha’s fantastic, both funny and smart. You can hear her Tuesdays on the radio on The Stephanie Miller Show. It’ll be interesting to see if she expresses her political views on the show. She’s certainly sharp and intelligent enough to teach something to that obnoxious, self-absorbed, opinionated Sharon Osbourne. I do wish Aisha could have gotten a better gig than this crap, though. Boogedy boogedy cheese!
Completely agree with you! Aisha is funny and very smart. I also listen to her on The Stephanie Miller show. She’ll be good for The Talk, because to me it’s just not the same without Leah and Holly.
LOVE her, used to watch her on Talk Soup too. but I couldn’t care less about The Talk…it seems too daytime bland and beneath her somehow. at least she’ll have a steady job.
My best friend ,she just has announced her wedding with a millionaire old man Ronald who is the CEO of a MNC ! They met via —-SéêkSúɡárDαd.℃⊙M–.- ..it is the largest and best club for rich man date with young and beautiful woman and their admirers to chat online. …you don’t have to be rich there ,but you may meet one ,maybe you wanna check it out or tell your friends !
women are dumb and so are their opinions
I like Aisha but The Talk is a train wreck. Her affable real style is friction with Julie Chen’s stiff and artificial robotic composure. I also thought the show was about ‘Hollywood Mom’s” advice/perspective/etc. They were on the right track booting Leah Remini but now I don’t know what track they’re on or where theyr’e trying to go.
Tyler sure does like to talk if anybody has ever listened to her Girl on Guy podcast.
Seriously EW? Aisha Tyler is best know for Ghost Whisperer and Friends? How sad that’s what she’s best known for. I’ll admit her stand-up isn’t really for me, but I LOVED her on Talk Soup and her book is actually very funny.
I like her but I don’t think anyone can help save this show. Sheryl Underwood is awful. I feel like I need subtitles to understand have the stupid crap she says. And Julie is a major hypocrite. Watching it now and I was totally shocked on her thoughts about John Edwards and his mistress. Uh hello honey, you were Les Moonves’ mistress before he married you!
* I meant to say half the stupid crap she says
