Lou Diamond Phillips is going to hit the streets for Southland.
The TV and movie vet has scored a guest role on the acclaimed TNT drama, playing Danny Ferguson, a cynical and intense street cop who’s good under pressure. The Stargate Universe alum will appear in the season premiere, airing Jan. 17.

Let me get this straight, TNT fired all those other actors claiming budget restraints and now we have all these d-list celebrities joining in guest roles..First Lucy Liu and now Lou Diamond Phillips. Im starting to worry about what used to be one of my favorite shows.

kevin alejandro left bc he was on tru blood. He went there when southland first got cancelled. Nothing to do wtih money constraints. Plus his death led to one of the most amazing moments in tv history, when his partner is protecting him and trying to get the thugs away from him
clearly, I hadn’t caught up with behind the scenes of the show. I thought that the Powers at be had decided to fire all but four actors( Regina King, Micheal Cudita, Ben McKenzie and Shawn Hatosy), have they decided to use the other cast members on a recurring basis?

Lou Diamond Phillips makes such a good cop. He’s good in whatever he does. Looking forward to the show.
