'Fringe' mocks World Series delay -- VIDEO

Fox may be forcing fans to wait yet another week for the return of Fringe so they can air Game 7, but that doesn’t mean they don’t hear your cries. Here’s a little video treat the network cooked up after their cliffhanger trick. (NBC’s Chuck, which will air tonight, has a video too, and that one is here). Here’s the Fringe clip: “What happened, Fox?”

    Awesome. Very clever.

I hated being forced into playing baseball as a kid and now as a grown up it’s still biting me in the ass. Why can’t they only air sports on an all sports channel? Ugh.

    • LOL

      Need some Vagisil?

      • uh

        Baseball is crap.

      • Lem

The yeast build-up is getting to ya ,eh Brad ?
Make the best of it, and break out the breadmaker.

      • Matt

Baseball sucks. It ruins the treehouse of horror half the time, and now it’s ruining fringe.

      • lol sports

        Idiots care about baseball.

      • Nathan

Fringe didn’t need baseball to ruin it, Fringe sucks just fine all by itself.

      • Leah

Nathan a.k.a “Fringe stinks” get a life loser.

    • Shut It

It’s Game 7 of the World Series, shut it and go play some D&D

    • Scott

Brad, change out of your skirt, put a pair of jeans on and go out! It’s friday. Fringe will return soon enough but this gives you a chance to get off your couch and exprience life for a change.

      • Sluse

I’m sorry but baseball on television is just awful. It’s 6 shots min level of boring.

      • Simm Fan

Women wear jeans so your little bit of whimsy is very dated.

    • tony larussa

are you losers serious? Grow some balls. Better yet get a life instead of whining all the time.a shrink wouldn’t hurt, either

I still don’t see anyone complaining about how this season is effectively a recycled season 3. Last season, Olivia was abducted and people cried and other weird stuff happened and then she came back and stuff. This season, Peter disappears, Walter cries, Olivia’s sad and then Peter comes back and a whole bunch of pointless drama happens. Anybody seeing a pattern here?

    • Brad

You clearly have no idea what you are talking about, and stuff.

      • @@iron

Just calling it like I saw it, stuff.

    • Eric

Yeah, you obviously have no idea what you are talking about. You are completely oversimplifying everything in the show.

      • tony larussa

Do u have a 3rd grade education, dude, do something constuctive. Hell, play with yourself. If that’s all you have..

    • Simm Fan

Yeah, and baseball is so unique. Throw ball, hit it, run around. Oh, and the slight variation: throw ball, don’t hit it, no running around. I think my head is gonna explode.

  • Gemma

    “baseball happened”
    love it!

  • tracy bluth

    LOVE IT.

All of Fringe’s promos are amazing.

  • chocolateislove

    Haha this is hilarious!

  • Michelle

I don’t see how it’s like S3 at all. Unless you mean it has a beginning, middle and, presumably, an end.

  • Radeks Girl

why couldn’t they have played the baseball game on sat or sun, instead of delaying Fringe for an entire week???

    • ace

Radeks Girl, the series was supposed to end last night but the rain delay pushed everything back a day. I love Fringe but I love baseball more. This series has been amazing and tonight’s game should be a good one, go Cardinals !!

      • Jason

Playing sports is fun. Watching sports is embarrassingly dumb.

  • PartyGirl

I freaking love this show!! I also have a crush on Joel Wyman hes handsome..I had to say that…

  • kim in kentucky

Let Fox Sports, ESPN, etc carry the games !!

    • Bernadette

Let fans who don’t have cable watch the world series. (They’re still out there.)

      • Rach

1 more week wont kill anyone! I didnt like that Fringe isnt playing tonight, but I am not gonna cry over it cause it will be on next Friday. At least they are not skipping that episode!

  • Eric

Sigh, why couldn’t of baseball had a lock out.

    • t3hdow

They did…in 1994, and MLB is still suffering from that strike. While the NFL was certainly popular prior to that year, once baseball went off the air, so did its mainstream popularity.

  • Matthew

Baseball also creates great momentum for Glee. 1 episode every 36 weeks – it’s easy to remember “What you Missed”.

  • Lorie

    Awesome!

  • Sarcasm

I still don’t see anyone complaining about how this season of baseball is effectively a recycled season. Last season, guys hit balls, caught balls and ran around in circles. This season, guys hit balls, caught balls and ran around in circles. Anybody seeing a pattern here? I hate watching millionaires play children’s games. That’s why I left when Ted Turner and Bill Gates started to play Hide and go seek. And some people PAY to watch rich guys play games? They must have really boring lives, I guess….

  • Danielle

Love the video! So sad that it isn’t on. I encourage fans to join the fox viewer panel, because occasionally they send surveys about some of their shows. I just got one today about the new season of Fringe. It’s a great way for fans to let fox know how much we love Fringe.

    • passing

I hope you let them know that everyone loves this new Olivia, she is strong, independent, has a spring in her step, is comfortable in her skin, laughs, and most important has interaction with Walter, Astrid and Nina , hope to see more scenes with the 3 ladies, and Lincoln added. Peter just isolated her and made her insecure and needy.
I and many others hope that they drop the Olivia/peter thing, and please keep this great Olivia/Walter bond, Anna Torv and John Noble are great together. And give Olivia the status of hero back.

      • Aimee

@Passing, you are deranged and want the show to be something it is not. This show is mainly about three characters, and like it or not, Peter is central to everything. Oliva is not better off without Peter – she is colder and still freaked out by the idea that her alternate is somehow better than her. She seemed to be humoring Walter out of pity instead of any family-like bond. She wasn’t even going to tell Walter about the letter from St Clarie’s. She may have just sent him back there if he hadn’t seen it, and made some effort to get out of the lab. Olivia may be a hero, but so is Peter. And they are both flawed, like good heroes are. They are both meant to save the universes together, so stuff it! Go write the Olivia show – the rest of us want to see Fringe.
