'Community': Watch Jeff Winger as... Dean Pelton? -- EXCLUSIVE VIDEO

Soon, we will be living in the darkest timeline, as NBC’s Community has been temporarily pulled off the midseason schedule. (Don’t worry, it’s returning at some point.) But for the moment, let us bathe in the glow of tonight’s episode, “Documentary Filmmaking: Redux,” in which Dean Pelton makes a commercial for Greendale and taps our study group as his cast, while Abed films all of the Pelton-power-tripping action for another documentary. Yes, there will be an appearance by Magnitude. And Fat Neil. And Luis Guzman. But even better, you will bear witness to Jeff Winger doing his best/worst impression of the Dean. Press play and be transported to a magical place where “the students all look happy and you can’t smell that smell.” READ FULL STORY »

The action will begin on the day Hillary is released from prison — and guess who is waiting for her on the outside? READ FULL STORY »

'Modern Family,' 'X Factor' lead Wednesday ratings

The rich stayed rich and the poor stayed poor Wednesday night in the ratings, with ABC’s Modern Family setting the pace as the top-rated show and X Factor giving Fox the overall nightly network win.

X Factor (3.8 adults 18-49 rating) was steady with last week, while ABC’s comedy block dipped slightly. The Middle (2.9), Suburgatory (2.8), Modern Family (5.5) and Happy Endings (3.2) were all down between 3-10 percent. Revenge (2.6) was off 13 percent.

CBS had the opposite story: Survivor (3.3), Criminal Minds (3.7), and CSI (2.6) all posted gains between 3 and 9 percent. NBC’s Up All Night (1.9) was up a tick, but Harry’s Law (1.5) and L&O: SVU (1.9) matched their lows.

Jim Rice thought he was in a good place to possibly take home the million dollars on Survivor: South Pacific, but the medical marijuana dispensary owner’s game went to pot when John Cochran flipped sides rather that risk pulling a colored rock. And whom would he have taken to the finals? The never cowardly contestant answers all that and more!

Top-rated comedy Modern Family has landed a major-name talent for a key guest role: Greg Kinnear is coming to the hit ABC series this season.

In his first TV sitcom gig since he appeared on NBC’s Friends in 2003, Kinnear will play Tad — Phil Dunphy’s new business partner. Tad is described as a successful and athletic real estate broker, and Phil is extremely impressed by him. But Claire has quite the opposite impression of Tad (hmm, wonder why… ). Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen and Kinnear playing off each other on Modern Family? That sounds as good as it gets…

There’s no airdate for the episode yet, but it will run sometime next year. Best known in recent years for films like Little Miss Sunshine and Baby Mama, Kinnear recently starred in the cable miniseries The Kennedys. Meanwhile, last night’s Modern Family was easily Wednesday highest-rated show.

Jeff Probst on episode 10 of 'Survivor: South Pacific'

Each week, host Jeff Probst answers a few questions about the most recent episode of Survivor: South Pacific.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: I’ve suggested in the past that when you have a double elimination episode that you spring a challenge on them right there at Tribal Council and then have a vote-off immediately after, so I loved finally seeing that happen. One thing I was curious about was the decision to let the contestants (and viewers) know beforehand that there would be a twist at Tribal, allowing them (and us) to guess and prepare for it. I’m assuming you went back and forth on whether to do that. Why did you ultimately decide to tease it? Was it in the hopes that it would ignite some extra strategy discussion back at camp, like what we saw with Albert considering ousting Edna while he still had the votes?
JEFF PROBST: We always tease any kind of game changing twist before it happens so that nobody will ever feel that we made it up in response to something happening in reality. For instance, “Now that we know what’s happening, if we did another tribal they might vote out someone we really like so let’s change our minds and not do it!” This goes back to the very beginning of the show. If you think back, there are many times when I reveal a bottle with a note inside, or pull a note from my pocket. It is merely our way of committing to a twist with integrity. Viewers also learned what exactly the “infantata” is (basically it’s a Frankenstein baby who does not enjoy breast feeding). The episode also ended with what appeared to be the first moment where Vivien (Connie Britton) realized that this house may be haunted. Behar, whose contract is up this year on the cable news network, will continue her gig at ABC’s The View. A spokeswoman for HLN declined to comment.

TV’s original American horror story is taking another step toward returning to primetime: NBC has ordered a pilot of Bryan Fuller’s remake of the classic TV show The Munsters.

The new version of the half-hour sitcom is bring re-imagined by the Pushing Daises creator as an hour-long series exploring how the monster house came about, and will have a darker and less campy feel than the black-and-white original.

The Munsters was launched the same year as the rather similar Addams Family, which goes to show in this season of dueling fairy tale dramas (Grimm, Once Upon a Time) that networks haven’t changed all that much. While Addams was based off Charles Addams’ New Yorker cartoons, the Munsters patriarch Herman was basically a play on Frankenstein. READ FULL STORY »

'The Talk' spoofs 'Sex and the City' for NYC week -- VIDEO

Categories: Television

Okay, so maybe this IS a shameless spoof of Sex and the City, but you have to admit — there is something kind of genius about seeing a soggy Chenbot.

To help promote The Talk shooting a round of episodes in New York from Dec. 12-16, the ladies — Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler, and Sheryl Underwood — taped this promo that debuted today on the show. Make fun all of you want of seeing Gilbert in Sarah Jessica Parker’s signature tulle, but she and the ladies definitely got the last laugh: Shortly after The Talk announced its intention to go east, the show’s website crashed from receiving an avalanche of ticket requests.
