'The Sing-Off': Tonight's R&B set list -- EXCLUSIVE

The final five groups on The Sing-Off will each sing two R&B hits on tonight’s episode, airing at 8pm/7pm Central on NBC. The first half of the show will be dedicated to contemporary R&B tunes, while the second half will feature classic hits. After last week’s country installment, this week’s set list seems like a better fit for all the remaining groups, with the possible exception of those very white guys from BYU’s Vocal Point. Here’s what you can expect to hear:

OPENING NUMBER: “I Feel Good,” James Brown; “ABC,” Jackson 5; “Forget You,” Cee-Lo Green [UPDATE: The third number in the medley will be Beyonce's "Crazy in Love," not "Forget You."]

CONTEMPORARY R&B
Afro-Blue: “We Belong Together,” Mariah Carey
Dartmouth Aires: “Ignition,” R. Kelly
Pentatonix: “OMG,” Usher
Urban Method: “Knock You Down,” Keri Hilson Feat. Ne-Yo & Kanye West
Vocal Point: “Every Little Step,” Bobby Brown

CLASSIC R&B
Afro-Blue: “Best of My Love,” Emotions
Dartmouth Aires: “Midnight Train to Georgia,” Gladys Knight & the Pips
Pentatonix: “Let’s Get It On,” Marvin Gaye
Urban Method: “It’s Your Thing,” The Isley Brothers
Vocal Point: “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” The Temptations

Then again, the producers did give Vocal Point the pimp spot, so maybe the boys have some soul after all?

'Homeland' star Damian Lewis: Brody is 'up to something' -- VIDEO

Showtime’s critically acclaimed thriller Homeland kicked it into high gear last week when CIA officer Carrie (Claire Danes) and former POW (and possible terrorist!) Sgt. Brody (Damian Lewis) found themselves having sex in the backseat of her car.

Strategic on Carrie’s part? There’s no way to tell yet. But tonight may provide some answers as the two find themselves disappearing together for the weekend. Something tells us things will get intense (and we’re not just talking about the inevitable next hook-up).

When Damian Lewis stopped by EW a little more than a week ago, he gave us a preview of what was to come for the complicated pair, and gave us a little hint as to which mysteries may be revealed by the time the season ends. Watch after the jump! READ FULL STORY »

Penn State scandal: Advertisers pulling commercials from college's football games

Categories: Television

Many might have tuned in to Saturday’s Penn State game, but some advertisers will not take advantage of the extra eyes tuning in in the wake of the college’s sexual assault scandal. Following this week’s news that former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky had allegedly sexually abused several young boys, advertisers backed out of airing spots during Saturday’s game, as well as upcoming Penn State matches. The Wall Street Journal reports up to a half dozen companies — including Cars.com — have pulled out of airing their commercials on ESPN’s broadcast of Penn State football. “The school’s image is damaged and brands will disassociate,” sports marketer Kevin Adler, of Engage Marketing, told WSJ.

Penn State may also have to worry about its corporate sponsors as well. According to the WSJ, sponsors like PepsiCo Inc., have yet to make any movement, but General Motors Co., says it is “reviewing” its attachment to the school. (Highmark Inc., however, says they are sticking with Penn State.) A rep for ESPN has not immediately responded for EW’s request for comment.

What power does the house really hold?

Fans of Fox’s American Horror Story have been asking that question for weeks now, analyzing every tiny clue about the truth behind the Harmon family’s unholy bit of real estate.

And it looks like we’ll get one step closer to solving the mystery in this Wednesday’s episode, “Open House.” In this preview clip given exclusively to EW, Ben (Dylan McDermott) pays a surprise visit to Larry Harvey (Denis O’Hare), the creepy, burn-scarred guy who we first met when he interrupted Ben’s jog to warn him about the house’s evil nature. Here, we find out that Larry wasn’t exactly telling the whole truth — and that he might have a different (though equally creepy) reason to be obsessed with the Harmon’s pad. READ FULL STORY »

Welcome to the ’60s, Alice Cullen!

EW has learned exclusively that Ashley Greene (Alice from the Twilight franchise) has booked a three-episode arc on ABC’s period drama.

She’ll play a debutante with a past connection to Ted (Michael Mosley). She’ll appear in the episode titled “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” that’ll air Dec. 4.

Breaking Dawn, the next installment in the Twilight franchise, opens Nov. 18.

Unlike some of ABC’s other freshman shows, Pan Am (8.25 million, 2.7 rating/7 in adults 18-49) has yet to receive a full season pickup. ABC has ordered more scripts for the show, but has been holding off on a pickup. But there’s a new showrunner at the helm and the show is doing well overseas.

LeAnn Rimes says working with Burt Reynolds on the CMT's 'Reel Love' was as fun as you'd expect

LeAnn Rimes concedes that the setup for her CMT movie Reel Love (premiering Nov. 13, 7 p.m. ET) isn’t exactly original: A hardworking city girl (her lawyer character Holly), travels back to the country (sweet home Alabama, where the fishing’s good) for a family emergency and begins to fall for a guy who likes to fight with her (and pays more attention to her than her current boyfriend). But unlike most of the movies in that particular rom-com subgenre, this one doesn’t have you rolling your eyes when it’s decision time: Does she stay or does she go? That’s because the heart of the film is Holly’s relationship with her father (Burt Reynolds), the angler who has more than one “one who got away” in his life. Rebuilding that relationship rather than starting a new one with someone she barely knows is a more believable reason for a woman to contemplate uprooting her life. “Right. I agree with that,” Rimes laughs. “I was like, ‘Hold on, she falls in love in, like, two days?’ Which can happen, I totally understand.”

What’s not surprising is that Rimes has a couple great stories about working with Reynolds, who, for the first time in his career, gets to play a father-daughter relationship. “He’s such a prankster,” she says. “He started with me, and then he moved around to all of the women on the set sending them flowers saying, ‘Thanks for last night.’ He definitely made his rounds and made his presence known. We had a blast, we really did. We were taking pictures together for the poster, and he starts smelling my neck. He’s like, ‘Oh yeah, I forgot. I’m playing your dad not your love interest.’ Thanks, Burt. This was obviously at the end of it, so we’d really gotten to know each other, and I’m like, ‘Stop it!’ He cracks me up.” READ FULL STORY »

'The X Factor's latest eliminated contestants: Seeing Paula cry 'hurt worse than actually being eliminated'

Last night’s elimination on The X Factor was the most painful yet — and not just for Paula Abdul. The Stereo Hogzz, the Houston-based quintet who were sent home, admitted that watching their mentor’s meltdown “probably hurt worse than actually being eliminated.” This from group member Trace Kennedey, who added, “It felt surreal. We didn’t want to see her like that. I almost wanted to tell her, ‘It’s okay, Paula.  If it makes it any easier, you can send us home. It’s all good. We’re content. We’re happy to be here, it was a blessing. We enjoyed the ride!’ ” Even in the face of their elimination, The Stereo Hogzz (Kennedey, Justin “Just’n” Williams, Kregg “KG” Gibson, Jonathan “Jon Glenn” Glenn, and George “Trae Badd” Jenkins III) remained upbeat in a chat with EW this morning. See what else they had to say after the jump. READ FULL STORY »

Awwww. Y’all know what I realized this week?

It’s been just about one year since we first started our show-mance (and I mean that quite literally). Our mutual love for television has brought us together and I couldn’t be happier about it. So many thanks for your readership, harassment, and love. Sometimes, it all even came rolled in a single e-mail. Crazies after my own heart — I love it.

So I hope you enjoy today’s installment and the comfort of knowing that you’re now officially my longest relationship ever. Woo!!… I think.

Also, celebrate by sending me more questions and ponderings. (E-mail: SpoilerRoom@EW.com or Tweet: @EWSandraG) You’re great people and I appreciate you. Happy Anniversary!! (Note: It was officially last Saturday, but in the grand tradition of all my relationships, I forgot. So we can celebrate now!)

‘GREY’S ANATOMY’: KIM RAVER TALKS TEDDY’S GRIEF
So, readers, was Grey’s Anatomy not the most heart-wrenching thing ever last night? I was consoled only by the fact that I was sure there were other people somewhere bawling along with me. But aside from leaving me with puffy eyes, the episode also left us all with a burning question: What’s going to happen to poor Teddy? Well, when I spoke with Kim Raver, she weighed in on what’s next. “It’s like the time-bomb waiting to explode,” she says. “I know that she doesn’t just dissolve into a puddle on the floor. It’s not that kind of grieving. I know she will go into ‘Let me try to fix it’ mode. But we don’t know how long that will hold.” READ FULL STORY »

CBS plans to announce on Tuesday that Charlie Rose and Gayle King will take over a revamped, news-focused Early Show, according to the New York Times. The current show, which features Erica Hill, Chris Wragge, and Jeff Glor, has struggled to keep up with its early-morning rivals and its ratings are down 6 percent this fall compared to last year. Rose, who hosts his own show on PBS, and King, who has her own program on OWN, would join Hill and Glor on the revamped show sometime early next year.

Bummer! Online return of 'All My Children' delayed

Cameron-Mathison

Disappointing news for fans of All My Children, which was supposed to earn a second lease on life next year when it was supposed to resurface via The Online Network in January. The company that bought it from ABC may hold off premiering it for at least a few months and focus on getting One Life to Life back to fans, instead, according to Variety.

Prospect Park, a media and production company founded in 2009 by Jeffrey Kwatinetz and former Disney Studios head Rich Frank, bought AMC and OLTL last July after ABC canceled them. (AMC ended in September; OLTL goes away in January). The hope was to bow new installments of AMC online starting in January, but that was before Prospect started having a tough time securing stars from the longtime serial (here’s looking at you, Susan Lucci!).

So far, only Cameron Mathison (Ryan Lavery) and Lindsay Hartley (Dr. Cara Castillo Martin) have agreed to continue with AMC once it goes online. In contrast, OLTL’s Erika Slezak (Victoria Lord), along with Ted King (Tomas Delgado), Michael Easton (John McBain) and Kassie DePaiva (Blair Cramer), among others, will stay in the fictitious town of Llanview for Prospect’s new venture.

Along with the soaps, The Online Network is supposed to feature entertainment and lifestyle shows.
