A decent start for Aisha Tyler: CBS’s year-old daytime show The Talk hit a season high in viewers for the week ending Nov. 4.

The show averaged 2.08 million.

Granted, that’s not a huge difference from the same week a year ago, when The Talk was in its infancy. At that time, the show averaged 2.06 million. It remains even among women 25-54 (.0 rating/6 share).

Tyler, the actress best known for gigs on Ghost Whisperer and Friends, joined the panel on Oct. 24 alongside Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood.

The show plans to tape a week of holiday themed shows in New York starting Dec. 12.

Medical problems are nothing unusual for Henry (Scott Foley), but on tonight’s episode, Teddy’s (Kim Raver) husband will find himself depending on the staff at Seattle Grace more than ever. And, as Raver tells EW, his medical crisis of epic proportions will weigh heavily on poor Teddy.

“She’s so emotionally invested,” says Raver. “It’s such an interesting dynamic to see Teddy flip back and forth from surgeon to wife. In the episode, it’s fun to see her go up and down. But as a wife, she’s a mess.”

In the past, Teddy has made it no secret that Henry is her unexpected weakness. After all, they married only so Henry could get in on Teddy’s health insurance and get life-saving treatment for his Von Hippel-Lindau disease, a rare genetic condition. Tonight, says Raver, as Henry goes under the knife, fans will see her vulnerable side more than ever and get a real picture of how far they’ve come as a couple. READ FULL STORY »

Now that Piers Morgan is out, NBC is apparently looking for one helluva firebrand to fill his judge’s seat on America’s Got Talent.

EW has confirmed that Howard Stern is in talks to sit alongside Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel on the six-year-old talent show. The Wall Street Journal says the radio personality could command nearly $15 million to take over for Morgan, who announced Wednesday that he’s leaving to focus full-time on his CNN show.

Stern would continue hosting his radio show for Sirius XM. The catch: America’s Got Talent is filmed in Los Angeles so NBC is considering whether to relocate the show to New York to accommodate Stern. Stay tuned.

Jeff Probst's talk show a go for fall 2012

Categories: Deals, Survivor, TV Biz

The tribe has spoken: Jeff Probst’s eponymous talk show is a go for fall 2012.

CBS TV Distribution has sold in more than 55% of the country in 16 of the top 20 markets, including NBC owned stations in New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Dallas-Fort Worth and Hartford. The one-hour talk show will cover topics that will range from relationships and family issues to newsmakers of the day.

“Stations enthusiastically embraced our and Jeff’s vision for re-creating the classic talk show,” said John Nogawski, President of CTD, in a statement. “Jeff developed his listening and storytelling skills on the prime-time hit Survivor, and his hosting appeal was cemented on Live With Regis and Kelly and Larry King Live. Jeff has the ingredients to become an instant asset to stations and provide a strong lead in to their newscasts.”

“I’m fascinated with people,” added Probst. “And I love adventure. I can’t wait to bring these two worlds together in daytime, and the added bonus is I get to continue with Survivor in primetime.”

What’s in store with tonight’s midseason finale (The CW, 8 p.m. ET), which finds Klaus back in Mystic Falls and Damon, Elena, and Stefan hoping that his abusive father figure Mikael can kill him and free Stefan from being Klaus’ wingman and Elena from being his hybrid-making blood donor? 'Glee' does mash-up of Adele's 'Someone Like You' and 'Rumour Has It': Watch here!

Categories: Glee, Music, Television

Adele’s delightful music has popped up on Glee a couple times before: Last season, Gwyneth Paltrow sang “Turning Tables” in her Emmy-winning role as substitute teacher Holly Holliday, while Jesse (Jonathan Groff) and Rachel (Lea Michele) did the U.K. diva’s smash hit “Rolling in the Deep.”

But there’s more Adele where that came from.

In Tuesday’s Glee, new all-girl group the Troubletones — led by Mercedes (Amber Riley) and Santana (Naya Rivera) — are set to sing a compilation of Adele’s recent hit “Someone Like You” and yet-to-be-singled “Rumour Has It.” The mash-up focused episode is appropriately titled “Mash Off.”

The Glee gods have bestowed the clip of the mash-up to us early — filled with delightful sapphic longing from fan-favorite Santana — so revel in the glory of the Troubletones-on-Adele here:

It seems like Two and a Half Men continues to be television’s number one sitcom… featuring controversial leading man.

Ashton Kutcher came under fire when he sent out an uninformed tweet in response to the firing of Penn State football coach Joe Paterno. Kutcher, who has found himself in trouble before for his questionably insensitive tweets, posted, “How do you fire Jo Pa? #insult #noclass as a hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste.” (That tweet, pictured below, has since been taken down.)
