The first-ever live American Chopper bike battle delivered strong ratings for Discovery.
All told, 4.8 million viewers tuned in Monday night to watch a three-way battle between Senior and Junior Teutul and Jesse James. It’s the second highest-rated episode in the history of the show (pretty impressive for a show that’s been on the air for eight seasons). The episode was followed by the series premiere of Moonshiners (2.8 million viewers), which was the network’s highest-rated new series launch in several key demos.
Viewers voted Junior the winner of the bike battle, but who did you think won?

UPDATED: The Bachelor to a pesky spoiler website: It’s war!
The producer of the long-running dating franchise on ABC has sued Stephen Carbone, aka Reality Steve, who runs a website that routinely runs spoilers (some correct, some not) about the show. Claiming $75,000 in damages, NZK Productions and Alternative Television, Inc. take issue with Carbone’s tactics of “soliciting information from participants, cast, crew and/or other employees” by “inducing them to breach their confidentiality obligations.”
West Memphis Three doc 'Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory' to debut on HBO -- EXCLUSIVE TRAILER
The release of the famed West Memphis Three earlier this year captivated even those who just tangentially knew about the case, i.e. the three then-teenagers who were convicted in 1994 — wrongly, in the view of many — of murdering three boys in West Memphis, Ark. One of the central engines of their release was the Paradise Lost documentaries by directors Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky, who had just finished their third film on the case, Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory, two days before Jason Baldwin, Jessie Misskelley Jr., and Damien Echols stepped out of a Jonesboro, Ark., courthouse as free men.
After premiering at the Toronto Film Festival, the filmmakers amended their film with footage from the remarkable conclusion to this nearly two-decade long ordeal, which then played at the New York Film Festival. The documentary will have its exclusive public debut on HBO on Jan. 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Check out the exclusive trailer below: READ FULL STORY »

We’ve made no secret of our love affair with Revenge and Once Upon a Time, but if you’re feeling a bit left out, it’s time to catch up.
ABC.com will be making all episodes of both freshman series available on their site, EW has learned. (Just in time for a holiday shut-in marathon!)
Previously, episodes were only available in batches of five, with the most recent episodes of their shows made available the day after they aired.
All full episodes of Revenge will be available online today until Jan. 3. Once episodes will go live after the last new episode of this season on Dec. 11 and will be available until the show returns on Jan. 8.
Both Revenge and OUAT have performed well in ratings since their debuts, with the latter earning the distinction of being TV’s highest rated new drama. (James Hibberd contributed to this report.)

'The Secret Circle': Chris Zylka promoted to series regular -- EXCLUSIVE
Good news for all those Jake-loving Secret Circle fans.
Chris Zylka, who plays hottie witch hunter Jake on the CW drama, has been promoted to a series regular, EW has learned exclusively.
Zylka first came on board the freshman series in October, and his character’s budding romance with Cassie (Britt Robertson) quickly struck a note with fans, many of whom found themselves torn. (Cassie also had an ongoing back-and-forth with Thomas Dekker’s Adam.) Zykla tells EW that even though he was originally slated to appear in 8 episodes, he always saw the potential in the character. “I thought [Jake] was the bad guy, but he had all these redeeming qualities that were under his tough skin,” he says.
But his role was also a bit daunting, he says. “I was most nervous about [debuting after the death of] such an iconic character from the books. What Louis [Hunter] did [as Nick] was really wonderful.”
So what does Zylka’s imminent stay mean for all involved? Stay tuned.

Lifetime eyes potential series for Neve Campbell
Neve Campbell (Party of Five) may soon have a series on Lifetime. The network is moving forward with a movie called Sworn to Silence that will serve as a backdoor pilot for a potential series.
It will star Campbell as a former member of an Amish community in Ohio who returns to her hometown to serve as its chief of police. She ends up leading a murder investigation that brings up painful memories of a series of brutal murders that happened in town when Campbell’s character was a child.
The backdoor pilot is based on the book of the same name by Linda Castillo.
Campbell has also closed a deal with Lifetime to develop scripted dramas and original movies. “Growing our scripted programming remains a top priority for Lifetime and our longform strategy provides us with a strong stable from which to identify potential series,” said Nancy Dubuc, President and General Manager of Lifetime Networks, in a statement. “I’ve always admired Neve’s work. She is a proven talent who will bring a high level of intensity and presence to this role and Sworn to Silence.”
'M*A*S*H' actor Harry Morgan dies

Harry Morgan, the actor otherwise known as M*A*S*H‘s Colonel Potter, has passed away, according to The New York Times. Morgan, who died in his Los Angeles home, was 96 years old.
Though Morgan is most well-known for his role on M*A*S*H, he was a prolific actor on the big and small screen, starring in such TV programs as Dragnet, Pete and Gladys, and The D.A, and appearing in over 100 movies. But, still, Morgan had said that Potter was “the best part I ever had” — one that even won him an Emmy in 1980. The actor was so fond of the character, he even played Potter in AfterMASH, a spin-off only lasting two years.
Later in life, Morgan continued acting in television, guest starring on such shows as 3rd Rock From the Sun and Murder, She Wrote. The actor is survived by his wife and three sons.
Discovery speaks out on 'MythBusters' cannonball accident
Following a MythBusters experiment that sent a cannonball busting through the home of a family in California, the Discovery series has issued a statement about the incident. Confirming that no one was hurt from the misfire — which occurred during filming at the Alameda County Sheriff’s Department bomb range in Alameda County, Calif. — Discovery and Beyond Productions explain how things went awry: “During the testing, a cannonball took an unforeseen bounce from a safety berm … Sgt. JD Nelson, Public Information Officer and bomb technician for the Alameda County Sheriff’s office, who is a regular safety explosives expert for MythBusters, was on site and all proper safety protocol was observed. Beyond Productions is currently assessing the situation and working with those whose property was affected.”
Though there were no injuries, there was damage to the home and a parked car. “We had some tremendous bad luck and some tremendous good luck,” Sgt. Nelson told the Associated Press.

'Dexter,' 'Glee,' 'Game of Thrones' land Producers Guild nominations
The Producers Guild of America announced today its 23rd annual PGA Awards nominees. Several fan favorite shows made the list (I was surprised Showtime’s Homeland didn’t make the cut, but then checked the rules — a show needs to have aired at least half its episodes by May 31, 2011 … which also means the amazing recent season of AMC’s Breaking Bad wasn’t in the running either).
