Can the Canadians one-up Melrose Place?
The CW is near a deal to acquire a Canadian series titled The L.A. Complex, about a group of young people trying to make it in Hollywood, living in an apartment complex.
The network has bought 6 episodes of the series and may expand the deal by another 7 episodes for a 13-episode run. The network plans to run the show during its traditionally low-rated summer months. Move comes right after the network ordered a pilot for Farscape creator Rockne O’Bannon’s project Cult.
