Ratings-wise, Idol delivered 18.2 million viewers and a 5.9 rating among adults 18-49. That’s down 9 percent from last week, which is a shame — last Thursday, it appeared as if the reality hit was stabilizing in the ratings. Still, Idol was the night’s top-rated show. Its lead-out, Mobbed (7.9 million, 2.9), did pretty well, with Idol boosting it by a whopping 123 percent. (Still, it only attracted half the audience of its lead-in.)
ABC aired repeats. CBS had the special Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials (8.7 million, 2.1), up 5 percent from last year. NBC had Whitney (4.4 million, 1.7) and Are You There, Chelsea? (4.1 million, 1.7), followed by repeats. CW had a steady One Tree Hill (1.5 million, 0.7) and a ridiculously low-rated Remodeled (745,000, 0.3).
