It’s not always easy for a studio to find a second home for a ratings-challenged show, but 20th Century Fox TV is sure going to try with the recently canceled Terra Nova. And lucky for the studio, at least one outlet seems willing to kick the tires: EW has confirmed that 20th Century Fox TV is talking to Netflix about possibly saving the freshman drama from extinction.

One source with knowledge of the situation urged that talks are preliminary, but Netflix has proven once before that it is willing to keep shows out of the trash heap. After all, it made a deal last November to bring back the cult classic Arrested Development. It also remains committed to offering more original content, like House of Cards and Lilyhammer. So keep your fingers crossed, Jason O’Mara fans.

Terra Nova will likely end up the highest-rated canceled show of the season. It averaged 10.1 million viewers and a 3.6 adult demo rating once DVR playbacks are added.
