The debut of Betty White’s new senior citizen prank show Off Their Rockers helped boost NBC’s ratings Wednesday evening.

Rockers had 7.2 million viewers and a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating. That might not sound like much. Heck, it isn’t much. But it’s the best rating NBC has had in this slot in 12 weeks, even if it’s down 31 percent from the show’s January preview special. Afterwards, NBC’s ratings fell for the network’s new Fred Savage sitcom Best Friends Forever (3.9 million, 1.2), and the network burned off its two final episodes of other new-ish comedy Bent (2.2 million, 0.8). Bent was a sweet show — many liked it — but it didn’t find a big enough audience. Rock Center (3 million, 0.8) was flat.

Another finale last night: The CW’s One Tree Hill (1.4 million, 0.8) signed off with a two-hour closer, rising slightly from last week as fans said goodbye. The finale gave CW its highest-rated Wednesday in the network’s key 18-34 demo since September.

Fox was on top last night with a two-hour American Idol (16.7 million, 4.7), down 6 percent but above Monday’s episode of the Voice (yesterday’s analysis about Voice vs. Idol here). CBS aired Survivor (10.1 million, 2.7) down 7 percent, Criminal Minds (11.2 million, 3.0) down 6 percent, and CSI (11.9 million, 2.9) up 12 percent. ABC largely had repeats, with a new Happy Endings (4 million, 1.6) left on its own hitting a season-low.
