SIDE DISHES

Sandra, what up?! You know what show I hardly see spoilers for? Warehouse 13!!  So, with that in mind, what’s coming up on Toddlers & Tiaras?! No, just kidding. Warehouse 13, por favor! — Tina
Well, if you thought the season finale was one giant “oh, my God!” moment, just wait until you see what executive producer Jack Kenny and Co. have in store for next season. “In the upcoming season, Pete, Myka, Artie, Claudia, Steve, and Mrs. Frederic all face mortality from every way it can be faced… and each in their own way,” he said.

I know you probably can’t say too much, but will we see either Wolowitz’s wedding or a space launch on the Big Bang Theory? — Becca
You’re right, I can’t say too much. But what I can say is that one of these events will certainly lead to an interesting development with another couple: Sheldon and Amy! “I just feel what you see in the finale is in human terms not big, but it’s a huge move as far as Sheldon is concerned,” says Jim Parsons, who is currently in New York entering final preps to take the stage as Elwood Dowd in the upcoming play Harvey. “I feel like it’s been things like that all year: Not very much [seems to be] happening, unless you’re the one doing it and unless you know these characters, then you realize that there’s real movement happening.”

I’ve been feeling a major lack of Vampire Diaries dish, specifically on Caroline! Help a girl out! — Kirsten
I have endless love for Vampire Barbie, so I’m happy to help. Too bad Alaric doesn’t share my adoration. As we saw last night, after his plan to have Elena stake Caroline failed, Alaric called a Council meeting to announce that Sheriff Forbes and Mayor Lockwood were the mothers of a vampire and a hybrid and to reveal his own supernatural status. And as we head into next week’s season finale, this leaves Caroline and Tyler in a severely compromising position. “Caroline and Tyler learn that there’s a target on their back and that if they stay in Mystic Falls, they could very well end up dead. So they have to decide what they’re gonna do about that,” says executive producer Julie Plec. “There’s a lot of choices that each of the characters need to make about their future. Do they stay and fight to the death? Do they run and get the hell out of dodge?” (Side note, when last night’s episode ended, Stefan and Damon were on their way to dump Klaus’ desiccated body into the Atlantic Ocean. Why am I not convinced that plan won’t be an epic fail?)

Hey Sandra, any early intel on the new season of Burn Notice? — Christine
Not at the moment. But you know who will be happy to share some with us all? Executive producer Matt Nix, who will be joining me for a live blog next Wednesday to take some of your questions on the new season. Stay tuned to my Twitter for the latest and more announcements on this soon!

Word around the cul-de-sac is that you might have some COUGAR TOWN scoopage for me! Do tell! — Jen
Well, having just watched the two-part season finale, I can tell you that the last half hour is probably one of my favorite episodes of CT ever. Definitely top 5 — maybe higher. And David Arquette earns high marks for his guest spot as a shady concierge who catches Ellie’s eye. (Note: Andy’s not okay with it — or the sexy pics she’s sending him.) “I’ll really do anything she wants, like a concierge that will go all out,” previews Arquette, who we caught up with earlier this week. “It was great. I love working with Courteney; I love acting opposite her. It was a lot of fun.” So much fun, in fact, that he wouldn’t turn down an opportunity to return should the gang find themselves at his character’s hotel again. Or, he jokes, he could “become a stalker like I was on Friends.”

Hi Sandra. Can’t end Castle season 4 without asking you one last time for Scoop! What do you have for us? Will the finale be as jaw-dropping as last year’s? I know there is so much speculation about a Castle/Beckett hookup in the finale, but I am curious about the fate of my other favorite duo on the show, Ryan & Esposito. Does something shocking happen to them? Thanks! — Cheryl
Last year’s finale — with the reveal that the chief was involved in Beckett’s mom’s murder — was several years in the making, as you’ll recall. And I can most definitely say the same thing about this year. So yes, definitely as jaw-dropping — and probably more. As far as Ryan and Esposito, you’ll find them at a point come season’s end that will give them a very interesting launching point next season — and I wouldn’t count out a little drama between those two. Also, DID YOU SEE THIS?!?

Anything good on Being Human’s next season? I know they just aired their finale, but I can’t wait! — Sara
Luckily for you Sara, planning for season 3 is well underway! So when I caught up with Sam Witwer recently, he shared that next season might find Aidan spending more time than ever among the living. “Aidan will be around people more this year — humans — which I think is what you have to do with the character. He’s a better character around people. He’s sadder because he wants to be them. He’s more charming and funnier because he has to be in order to fit in. And he’s more dangerous because he can hurt them,” he shared. “So the character is firing on all cylinders when he’s around them.”

Sandra! I hate all this 90210 bashing that’s gone on this week. I, for one, am excited it’s coming back. That’s all I wanted to say, but if you have scoop, that’d be great, too! — Aisha
Yes, TV bashing helps no one, people! Insult my face, just don’t insult my TV, I always say. That said, there’s nothing wrong with pitching ideas! In fact, Matt Lanter and I spit-balled a few for the now official season 4 when we hopped on the phone recently. And among them? We need a solid couple! (His suggestion, of course, is Liam and Silver.) “I think next season, let’s let Liam be with someone on a solid basis. We kind of missed that this year, really. There’s no solid couples that just stay together,” he says. “It never hurts to have a solid couple. There’s a lot of stuff to be learned even from a couple that’s together and strong.” But is that Liam and Silver? “I think it could be,” he says.

Will us fans get to see Daniel Dae Kim grill Grace Park’s character’s love interest? #H50 — @lilsugirl22
Direct quote from DDK, which came right before a big grin: “You mean barbecue grilling? I’m not sure because we don’t do much cooking on the show.” (Okay, sorry, had to share that!) Thankfully, I clarified for Kim, and he pretty much guaranteed we’d see some sort of interrogation because, as he explains, “Chin is very protective of his cousin. So I wouldn’t be surprised if there wasn’t a little questioning back and forth.” As for the mystery man’s ID, it will be revealed next week, and, he teases, “It’s probably not going to be as simple as it may seem, and I’m sure there’s going to be some conflict and drama that ensues.”

You were right about The Middle this week. Loved Whoopi Goldberg, but I’m also liking the look of next week’s prom episode! — Tara Jane
If Eden Sher’s preview lives up to the hype, then I think we’re all in for a treat. For those who haven’t heard, next week’s episode finds Sue going to prom with Axl’s friend Darrin (John Gammon) and, Sher says, we quickly find that they share an unexpected bond. “I’m surprised the writers hadn’t thought of it before and matched them up because they’re almost the same,” she says. Also something to look forward to? Sue’s dance moves. “We get some crazy Sue dance moves,” she shares. “A little bit was from the producers — they wanted a few specific moves — but the rest were Eden Sher — right here! Dancer extraordinaire! I LOVE dancing. I’m awful at it. But I love it!”

I’ll just DIE without some juicy HIMYM finale scoop. So you’ll, essentially, be saving my life if you give me something good. Be a hero, Sandra. Be a hero! — Rachel
First a preface: When we caught up with Jason Segel recently, he promised that this year’s “fantastic” finale “really sets the stage for next season.” But if you ask me, the stage was set a long time before that. This may or may not be related to someone who pops up in the season finale.

Anything good on the last two episodes of Smash? — Tyler
Actually, having just watched the finale, here are three little scooplets. Each one is a different character. Happy guessing! [SPOILER] gets fired. [SPOILER] gets a chance to shine in a big way. (Duh.) And there’s a truly dark and eerie development with [SPOILER] that will drop some jaws.
