Bobby, J.R., Sue Ellen, the Ewings, the Barnes — these names bring back memories for anyone who owned a TV from 1978 to 1991, but for younger viewers planning to watch TNT’s continuation of the series, which premieres Wednesday, June 13, a little catch-up is in order.
In the video below, viewers can review their Dallas trivia, as Patrick Duffy (Bobby Ewing), Larry Hagman (J.R. Ewing) and Linda Gray (Sue Ellen Ewing) — who are reprising their roles — guide newcomers through the Ewing and Barnes family trees. Get a glimpse of Southfork Ranch as you remember it and on camera again for the new show, and also get introduced to the next generation of Ewings, including John Ross (Josh Henderson), who takes after his oil baron father in more than one way, and Christopher (Jesse Metcalfe), who stirs up conflict on the series by becoming a player in alternative energy.
As John Ross says in the video, “Life always seems more complicated than you thought it would be, especially in this family.” So get ready to dive into this complex family history.
Dallas, which also stars Jordana Brewster, Brenda Strong and Julie Gonzalo, premieres June 13 at 9 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. CT on TNT.
