Get your tights and swords ready!
The latest news out of the Television Critics Association press tour in Los Angeles is that the Musketeers are back. BBC America will co-produce BBC One’s The Musketeers, a new drama based on the Alexandre Dumas novel, The Three Musketeers, that will be penned by My Week With Marilyn writer Adrian Hodges.
“The series bristles with vivid escapism and heroic action adventure …It is the perfect series for our Dramaville slot, which has established itself as a showcase for outstanding and award-winning British drama,” BBC America GM Perry Simon told reporters, according to Deadline.
The new series will keep the 17th-century setting of the original novel and will air 10 one-hour episodes in 2014.
