NBC has ordered two more editions of its hit reality show The Voice.

While a fourth cycle was already a given since the network recently signed new judges Usher and Shakira for the show’s spring edition, this announcement confirms the musical competition series will be back next fall as well. And no wonder — NBC adding The Voice to its fall lineup just led the network to win Monday night in the ratings — the start of the official broadcast season — more than doubling the network’s performance on the same night last year.

“This pickup will assure the many dedicated Voice fans that this innovative show will continue to bring some of the most talented new voices to the world’s attention through all of next year,” said NBC Chairman Robert Greenblatt. “With the addition of Usher and Shakira as rotating coaches to join Christina, CeeLo, Adam and Blake in the next cycle, we know that this incredibly addictive program will remain even more relevant as we move forward through this exciting season.”

Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green are working on other projects during the spring hiatus, though both have indicated they will return to the show for its fourth round. So far The Voice is averaging about 12 million viewers per episode this fall and a 4.5 rating among adults 18-49.
