SIDE DISHES

Hey, Sandra! Heard you went to the set of Supernatural. I’m patiently waiting for some scoopage! — Harriett
We were on set for the eighth episode of the season, which, as you know from this behind the scenes photo, involves a little greenery. I can’t say much more, but it’s a wacky journey unlike any we’ve never seen before involving —–o–.

I can’t wait until new Gossip Girl!!! Can you PLEASE share some Chuck and Blair spoilers? Thank you. — Karen
For old time’s sake, there’s a Chuck and Blair scene in a limo in the Oct. 8 premiere. But I won’t say what goes down.

I’m dying for some Serena/Blair, Chuck/Blair or Serena/Nate scoop! — Kellie
One of these pairs is on the worst terms they’ve ever been by the end of the premiere episode. And by the second episode, another pair will be connected in a completely unexpected (and, some might argue, twisted) way.

Loved your Q&A about NCIS last week, but was hoping you’d ask if Dr. Ryan was coming back. Loved her with Gibbs! XOXO — Marissa
I loved Dr. Ryan, too. Gibbs spent less time in the basement and more time above ground with the living when she’s on the show. (There’s a wood joke in there that ‘m not going near.) So I did ask executive producer Gary Glasberg about this. “The door is always open, as far as I’m concerned,” he says. “We so enjoyed [Jamie Lee Curtis] and what she brought to the show and that character. If the time is right, we’ll talk about it.”

I’m still crying over Opie’s death. Any Sons scoop to cheer me up? — Emily
No. In fact, I’d stock up on more tissues before Tuesday because I’m told the final minutes — which take place at Opie’s wake — will tear you apart. Meanwhile, can someone say FemFight? Guess who’s involved…

Do you have scoop on Addison from Private Practice? — Danielle L.
Well, we all know that Kate Walsh is done with Private Practice after the this season, but from what she tells us, our farewell to Addison might not be forever. “I’m sure she could still pop up on either [Private Practice or Grey's Anatomy] occasionally,” she says. “That’s Shonda’s decision really. I wouldn’t want to do it all of the time but I certainly wouldn’t be opposed to it either especially if a good storyline came up that needed her.”

THANK YOU FOR YOUR BBT COVER!!! IT WAS SO GREAT!!! And I hate to be greedy, but some Shamy scoop would be the cherry on top of all this awesome. — Candice
I’ll hand this over to Mayim Bialik, who, by the way, looked completely great at the Emmys: “There’s a really funny spying scene with Amy and Penny; we’re spying on Sheldon! And that was one of my favorite scenes,” she says.

I’d LOVE LOVE LOVE some Dexter scoop! — Annie
Full disclosure: This query came in before last night’s epic premiere. But I’m guessing you still want some intel, yes? (*pigeon voice*: Yes. Coo.) In next week’s episode, Deb will learn more about Dexter’s dark passenger than she ever wanted to know…including its name. And her reaction is priceless. Meanwhile, Dexter realizes something about Louis that makes him very, very uneasy.

Anything on NCIS: LA? It’s been a while… — Ed
How about some news on an NCIS: LA/30 Rock crossover? Not really. But sources confirm to me exclusively (ehem, Keith Powell told me at the Emmys) that Keith Powell recently wrapped up a guest stint on the CBS cop drama. And I’ll tell you that what brings him to the show is no laughing matter…

Revenge!!! — JJ
Well, as you saw last night, Daddy Grayson is working against his own daughter. His daughter is protecting her very-not-dead mother. Victoria is fooling everyone. And Daniel is dating Ashley. And as Henry Czerny tells me, there could be yet another connection to be revealed involving Conrad and Daniel’s new squeeze! “It is a layered soap format so there’s a good chance all the characters have something to do with each other at some point. How deep it goes will be up to time. But [Ashley] definitely caught Conrad’s eye as a kindred spirit,” he says. “So in terms of getting her to work for him, he is definitely working on it, but if I were Ashley, I would be very hesitant. But Ashley’s decisions — like Conrad’s — are blinded by greed and her hunger for power and status.”

Hi Sandra! Revolution is my favorite new show so far. Anything to share? — Kyle
Nothing super juicy — but I do have a plea from Giancarlo Esposito so passionate that I’d be remiss not to share. “People should really stick with it as the story gets better and better and the plot of what happens is well thought out, and there’s a big grand plan that I think is really rewarding,” he says. “So don’t get scared off by the type of big arc, please. Stick with it. It is worth it.” And it sounds like you (and a few million of your friends) are right on track, Kyle.

Can you share with us anything on Meredith and Derek?– Jessica B.
Besides the obvious? (That they’re going to continue to pluck at our heart strings.) No. But will you take April/Jackson as a consolation prize? Because Sarah Drew promises “a lot of fun stuff” between the two in the next episodes now that April is headed back to Seattle Grace. (Really, April; was the decision between hot surgeons and pigs really that difficult?) “I think the audience will find it fun and charming and raw and real,” she says. “She’s going to still have her freak-outs and meltdowns because that is who she is, but she also is the type who picks herself up and carries on and tries again.” She’s even going to hop aboard the Jesus train again, but from that stems even more problems for the pair. “She’s going to embrace her religion in a way that she hasn’t before and that is going to be hard and confusing for Jackson who does not share the same system of belief,” she previews.

Modern Fam’s premiere was SO cute! I love the time jump. Scooplet? — Abby
Lots will have changed in the second episode — and I’m not just talking about Gloria’s swollen belly. In the episode, Haley ‘s exit from the house will have a ripple effect on the whole family. “We will find out that Luke is actually pretty sad to have Haley gone,” says Nolan Gould. “He seems cynical and sarcastic and goofy all the time, but he’s actually pretty sensitive and emotional and he is affected by his sister going away.” Meanwhile, Ariel Winter says while Alex’s “balance is thrown off” by her sister’s exit, hr story this season will teach her “that she doesn’t need to change who she is to fit in with other people.” But first? A goth phase.

I miss Suburgatory!! — Lisa
ME TOO! I also miss Medium. And as we learn in the premiere, so do a lot of people in Chatswin. Weird.
