MTV has canceled scripted series The Inbetweeners after a single season.
The network has decided not to pick up the show, which was based upon a British program with the same title. MTV issued this breakup statement Wednesday afternoon: “While we won’t be moving forward with another season of The Inbetweeners, we enjoyed working with the show’s creators and such a talented, funny cast.”
Inbetweeners followed the adventures of four high-school guys and debuted in August to mixed reviews.
