The Chippendales wuz robbed!
CBS’ Amazing Race delivered a surprising finale last night when the underdog Beekmans came from behind to win the million. But the show’s ratings? Those were a bit more predictable, unfortunately.
The two-hour Race closer had 9.3 million viewers and a 2.6 rating in the adult demo, down 21 percent and ranking and tied as the show’s lowest-rated finale ever. The strong lead-in didn’t help The Mentalist, which was down 11 percent from its last original.
Among non-sports programming, The Simpsons won Sunday night thanks to a strong football lead-in.
Prep & Landing, you’re no Charlie Brown. ABC’s attempt make the Disney franchise a beloved holiday special delivered mixed results. On one hand, the repeats’ delivered less than 5 million viewers and a 1.4 rating. On the other, the specials were up 27 percent from last year.
