'Bachelor' producers sue spoiler blogger again

A blogger who has made a name for himself by spoiling the outcome of The Bachelor continues to get under the skin of the producers.  NZK Productions and a division of Warner Bros. dubbed Horizon Alternative is going back to court again in an attempt to block Steve Carbone from continually letting the cat out of the bag on his Reality Steve website.

The studio is going after Carbone for tortious interference and breach of a settlement agreement, according to The Hollywood Reporter, which first broke the lawsuit. In June, both parties closed the door on a previous lawsuit after Carbone supposedly agreed to cut off contact with cast, crew or employees of The Bachelor franchise. At the time, Carbone tweeted: “The lawsuit is over. We have finally settled. Long story short: RealitySteve.com isn’t going anywhere, I don’t owe the other side a penny, and they had no case.”

Since then, the Texas-based Carbone has continued to post spoilers. In July, he accurately posted who Emily Maynard would choose in The Bachelorette finale. And just last month, he posted spoilers about the new installment of The Bachelor that begins Jan. 7.

Carbone issued this statement to THR: “The suit is bogus. The suit was brought in violation of the settlement agreement I previously reached with the producers of the Bachelor series. That agreement does NOT prevent me from publishing spoilers. The producers have provided no proof that I did anything in violation of our agreement because there is none. They just seek to put me out of business by intimidation and litigation costs. I am currently exploring my legal options, including a counterclaim.”
