TLC’s My Strange Addiction has previously chronicled people who are addicted to coffee enemas, butt injections, licking cats and drinking substances such as nail polish, urine and gasoline. There was even a woman who was addicted to eating her dead husband’s ashes (yikes).
But there’s something about the show’s next addiction — sand eating — that gets your attention. Maybe you can resist watching this exclusive clip. I couldn’t. What follows is almost a spoof of an addiction show. I’m not vouching for its authenticity, only for its crunchy entertainment value. This episode airs Wednesday, Feb. 20.
Also: I like that this 19-year-old addict won’t just eat any sand, but that she’s picky. Because, you know, she has certain dining standards.
