Another decent win for 'Idol'

Intrigue over the top 10 dudes helped American Idol to take Wednesday in adults 18-49 and viewers.

Fox earned a 3.7 rating in the demo and averaged 12.7 million — not huge numbers but way better than CBS (1.9/5, 7.9 mil) which came in second for the night, according to Nielsen number crunchers. Fox brags how this was the eighth consecutive Wednesday that Fox has won with Idol.

There were lots of reruns last night, including one for Nashville (dang). Here are some highlights (or lowlights) for the shows that aired originals on Wednesday: Survivor: Caramoan: on CBS earned a 2.5/7, down 4% from last week. ABC’s The Neighbors earned a 1.7/5, flat with last week, while an original of Suburgatory followed a rerun of Modern Family and posted a 1.7/4, down 23% from last week to its series low.

And on NBC, an original of Whitney at 8 earned a 1.3/4, up 8% from last week. I’m kinda proud to say I wasn’t one of the 8%.
