It’s all about the the original programming for Bravo this year as the network unveiled its largest slate of original programming-to-date with 17 new and 18 returning unscripted series, and three new scripted projects in development.

“Bravo’s ongoing investment in high-quality original content across every platform continues to drive our growth year-over-year, securing our top 10 network ranking,” said Frances Berwick, President of Bravo and Style Media. “Bravo’s signature lifestyle entertainment brand continues to engage our growing passionate ‘affluencer’ audience.”

One compelling reality standout is Newlyweds: The First Year (Monday, May 6), which follows four newly married couples for an entire year. Emmy Award-winning and Oscar-nominated documentarian Lauren Lazin catches four diverse couples (gay, interracial, long-distance, and business partners) experiencing the daily trials and tribulations of their first 365 days of marriage. And Extreme Guide to Parenting (coming this fall) looks to be schadenfreude at it’s finest. Each episode features two different households with very unique (read: extreme) styles of raising their children — from spoiling and severe punishments to helicopter and new age methods. One of the mothers even bragged about using a vulva puppet with her child. And you see it. A vulva puppet. You read that right.

Other new shows include:

The Kandi Factory (Tuesday, April 9) — Grammy Award winner and multi-platinum songwriter Kandi Burruss of The Real Housewives of Atlanta helps 16 aspiring artists jumpstart their dreams of stardom.

Princesses: Long Island (Sunday, June 2) — Six young women from Great Neck, Long Island who return to their pampered lifestyles in the comfort of their parents’ estates and at the expense of their fathers’ bank accounts.

Below Deck (Summer 2013) — A young and single crew, known as “yachties,” live, love and work together onboard a privately owned extravagant yacht.

City Sisters (Fall 2013) — Single, up-and-coming movers and shakers in New York’s elite circles of real estate, fashion, and media.

Thicker Than Water: The Tankards (Fall 2013) — This docu-series follows former professional basketball player turned popular gospel singer/recording artist and minister Ben Tankard, his blended family and their journey in expanding the family fortune. From music-producing to NBA life coaching and motivational speaking, this business-oriented family strives to keep on top of their game, but finds their true passion lies in ministry.

Scripted shows in development are:
Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce — Based on the book series by Executive Producer Vicki Iovine, this one hour dramedy follows a best-selling author of a self-help book series who is secretly hiding her separation from her husband as she starts to navigate her life as a single woman in her 40’s in Los Angeles.

Heiresses – Based on the upcoming novel from Sara Sheperd (Pretty Little Liars, The Lying Game), this one-hour drama follows one of the most prestigious and wealthy families on the Upper East Side who have built their entire fortune on the business of diamonds. It follows the heiress granddaughters and involves a murder mystery.

High and Low – Produced by Michael Imperioli (Son of Sam, The Sopranos), it’s a period drama that takes us through the worlds of 1980’s art, food, and Wall Street through the eyes of rival brothers, from two different mothers, who open a restaurant together, forcing the two estranged families to finally deal with the years of resentment between them.

Unscripted projects in development:
Ivy League Confidential (working title) — It follows four elite college admissions consultants in New York and Los Angeles as they deal with over-the-top, pampered clients (both the parents and the children) trying to get into one of the top universities in the world.

America’s Best Restaurant (working title) — Modeled after UK’s Ramsay’s Best Restaurant, it’s a new food competition series that pits 16 of the nation’s best restaurants against each other on their own turf.

Rich People’s Problems (working title)– Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks helps rich folks settle their differences, from friends battling over an $8,000 loan or accusations of stolen Chanel handbags to confusion over a prenuptial agreement and whether it entitles you to two or three live-in staff members.
