NBC’s poor man’s version of Revenge is history.

In preparation for its upfront presentation in New York Monday, the Peacock has canceled Deception, its serialized drama starring Meagan Good as a female detective who goes undercover with a wealthy family she grew up with to solve the murder of her childhood buddy. The drama was only averaging a 1.8 rating/5 share in adults 18-49 and 4.93 million viewers.

Last month, NBC announced drama renewals but Deception wasn’t one of them. The five that were renewed for the fall season are Parenthood, Revolution, Grimm, Law & Order: SVU and Chicago Fire.

This news is only the tip of the cancellation iceberg. Stay tuned, there could be more shows dumped, and some pilots getting ordered to series, today. With definitely more action through the next week.
