That terrifying tiny town in Pennsylvania will once again be the setting of your nightmares: Eli Roth’s Hemlock Grove is returning for a second season on Netflix.
“The worldwide fan response to Hemlock Grove was phenomenal,” says Eli Roth, the series’ executive producer, said in a statement. “Netflix members loved the potent combination of sexy monsters, mystery, and the dark family soap opera that ended with a huge twist, leaving audiences worldwide totally shocked. Season One was just a warm up for what we have in store for season two. Get ready to be scared in ways you never expected.”
Ten new episodes of the series will premiere next year (a shorter season than the first round, which was 13 episodes). Writer-producer Charles H. Eglee (The Walking Dead, The Shield) will join the show as an executive producer. Famke Janssen, Bill Skarsgard (yes, brother of True Blood‘s Alexander) and Dougray Scott are among the show’s stars. This marks the second original series by the streaming video service to get a second season (Lilyhammer was the first).
