The Project: CBS’s new suspense drama Intelligence

Panel: Stars Marg Helgenberger (CSI), Josh Holloway (Lost) and Meghan Ory (Once Upon a Time), joined by Executive Producers Michael Seitzman and Tripp Vinson. Helgenberger looked ageless, as usual, and Holloway looked mighty fine.

Footage screened: Pilot episode that debuts Monday, Feb. 24

Snap judgment: The catcalls began almost immediately when Holloway showed up on screen as a federal agent named Gabriel Black who has a nifty chip in his brain. The premiere episode features lots of cyber rendering – show speak for flashes of data that serve as Gabriel’s “virtual snapshot of an event.” Thanks to his infinite access to information, Gabriel can pull intel on just about anybody, including hot Riley (Ory), who was hired to serve as his personal bodyguard from the Secret Service. (Naturally).

The Big Revelations: They talk about the Six Million Dollar Man a lot in the writers’ room. “It was about human enhancement,” Seitzman says. “We try to make a show that feels as much human as it does technology. (The Six Million Dollar Man) asked very similar things.” And this is a dream for Holloway, who grew up wanting to play a secret agent. (He makes a dang good-looking one, too.) And good news for Red Riding Hood/Ruby fans from Once Upon a Time: “Red never died, Ruby never died,” said Ory, who played the role for two seasons. “She is around somewhere. I like to think she is running around in the woods. So I think we’ll be seeing her again.”

Most incisive audience question: No time for marriage proposals for Holloway, sadly.
