'Vampire Diaries,' 'Supernatural' premiere dates moved up

The Vampire Diaries is returning earlier than you think. So is Supernatural. But promising new drama Reign has been pushed back.

The CW just announced changes to its fall premiere dates, shifting The Vampire Diaries, spin-off The Originals and Supernatural to slightly earlier in the season. Vampire Diaries was scheduled to debut on Oct. 10, now it’s premiering Oct. 3. Supernatural was supposed to come back Oct. 15; now it’s returning Oct. 8.
