Emmys 2013: Jeff Daniels wins Best Actor for 'The Newsroom'

In a shocking upset, Jeff Daniels won the Emmy for Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his role on HBO drama The Newsroom.

“I don’t normally win things,” a shocked Daniels shared from the stage. “A few years ago, I wont best actor over 50 from AARP for Squid and the Whale….this is better.”

Daniels beat out Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey), Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Damian Lewis (Homeland) and Kevin Spacey (House of Cards).
