Stand back, millennials — it’s time for a whole other generation to hop aboard the nostalgia train.

CBS announced today that it plans to broadcast two classic I Love Lucy episodes back-to-back this December. The event, appropriately called The I Love Lucy Christmas Special, will include both the show’s seldom-seen “Christmas Episode” — a clip show that has been aired on network TV only a handful of times — and “Lucy’s Italian Movie,” perhaps better known as “the one with the grape stomping.” Both episodes aired originally in 1956: the former during season 6, the latter during season 5.

Each will be “colorized with a vintage look,” according to CBS — minus the flashback sequences in “The Christmas Episode,” which will remain in black-and-white to emphasize the time lapse. CBS originally colorized “The Christmas Episode” for a re-broadcast in 1990 that drew more than 18 million viewers. (The previous year, CBS aired “The Christmas Episode” for the first time since 1956 after discovering its original negative hidden in a vault — attracting an audience of more than 29 million.)

The special will air Friday, Dec. 20, at 8 p.m. ET. Spectators are advised to bring their own eggnog — or Vitameatavegamin.

Editor’s note: This story originally said the special would air commercial-free, but that is not the case.
