Good news arrived today for a trio of Comedy Central series: The network announced that it had renewed Key & Peele for a fourth season, Brickleberry for a third, and Drunk History for a second.
“We are covering several genres with these pickups: one sketch; one animation; and whatever Drunk History is,” said Kent Alterman, the network’s president of content development and original programming.
In its third season, Key & Peele is averaging 1.9 million viewers and in its time slot is the No. 1 show on cable among 18- to 34-year-olds. Season 2 episodes of Brickleberry are averaging 1.6 million viewers, while Drunk History, which wrapped up its first season in August, averaged 1.2 million viewers.
The new seasons of these three shows will premiere sometime in 2014.
