BBC America has picked up a second season for its new original series Atlantis. The show, which premiered Saturday, is a fantasy-adventure with characters such as Hercules, Pythagoras, and Medusa populating the supposed lost city. Following the mega Doctor Who 50th anniversary special event, the series premiered to 838,000 total viewers — a series-premiere record for the network’s Supernatural Saturdays programming block.

It seems BBC America’s good fortune has continued after the Doctor Who 50th anniversary episode “Day of the Doctor” broke records with 2.4 million total viewers during the first American telecast. The special also received a Guinness World Record for “largest ever simulcast of a TV drama.”

Atlantis airs Saturdays at 9 p.m. on BBC America.
