Let’s talk Elementary for a moment, please? Could you tell me if we’ll learn more about Watson in the coming episodes? I’m a bit unsatisfied with the way they’ve been handling her backstory. We had a brilliant episode in which we’ve learned about what happened in the OR, but ever since then, and before even, we sometimes learn more about the characters from the case of the week than we learn about her. She gets a friend for like 2 seconds in a episode and that’s it. I’m asking this because the writers and Lucy Liu keep saying she’s supposed to be Sherlock’s equal and not his sidekick, so I’d like to know about her, at least, as much as I know about Sherlock. I’d really appreciate if you could answer this one. –Amanda
A script is being written as I type that will very much be a peek into Joan’s family, in particular her father! “I don’t think we’ve ever said any of this explicitly in the show, but the way we’ve always imagined it is Joan’s birth father fell out of the picture and her mother remarried with the last name Watson. So this story is based on that understanding of her circumstances,” says executive producer Rob Doherty. “We’re just going to find out a little more about what went down when she was a kid and a little more about the status of her birth dad.” But, he adds, this isn’t an episode that will see the introduction of her father, saying, “We may meet somebody down the line, but this episode is another little window into who Joan is and where she comes from.”
LOVED Barry Allen on Arrow, Sandra. I was honestly ready to hate on him, but he’s so cute, and I don’t just mean physically. I thought the character himself was really charming and the opposite of a cocky superhero I was expecting. I would love some scoop. — April
I loved that Barry was essentially a bit of a fanboy himself, and I think that added to the “cute”ness you reference. That said, in this next episode, Barry’s going to learn that meeting your heroes isn’t all its cracked up to be. Extra dish: Something VERY concerning happens to Roy in this episode. Well, Roy and another person, now that I think about it. These incidents aren’t related, but the effects of both could(/will) be life-changing.
I’M DYING AFTER WATCHING SUPERNATURAL‘S MIDSEASON FINALE!! I NEED SCOOP!! — TIFFANY

Any scoop from Teen Wolf premiere? — Nancy
There’s a heart-stopping opener featuring Stiles that will freak. you. out. I’d go out on a limb, in fact, and say this is one of the scariest episode they’ve done all season.
I always look forward to The Middle Christmas episode. Have you seen it? And where do you think it will rank among my faves? — Susan
Top 2, for sure. I’ll just say this: Immediately after the episode airs, you’re going to download “Cat’s in the Cradle” and probably cry. It’s full of ALL the Christmas feels.
AAHH!!! LOVED the Sherlock pics!!!! Now scoop please. — Dessie
Martin Freeman says when the show returns in January, we will find that John has “moved on” from where we left him in the end of the second season, and, in fact, has a new love! “He’s got his own life with a lovely woman who he lives with and works with, and he’s let that other part of his life fall by the wayside a little bit so when eventually, there is obviously a reunited moment, it’s going to have hilarious consequences,” Freeman says.
Any scoop on Grimm? Something on Alexis Denisof’s debut, perhaps? — Tori
I’ll have a few pretty sweet First Look photos of Denisof’s Viktor for you on Monday! But until then, Denisof tells me that he has high hopes for fans’ reaction to the character. “I hope he’ll be the villain you love to watch,” he says.
PAUSE for a Mentalist ALERT:
Fans and foes — or maybe just fans: I’m talking to executive producer Bruno Heller and invite your scoopy queries! Resume…
Can you give Brooklyn Nine-Nine a little love? That show deserves some attention. — Lacey
It certainly does! In fact, I’m happy to share that it was one of the few shows I didn’t have to MAKE my family watch while I was home for the holidays (a.k.a.: a miracle). That said, when I caught up with Andy Samberg, I asked him what he thought about the show’s long-term prospects and whether or not he saw it eventually adopting Parks and Recreation-style long-term arcs. “I think, particularly on a big network like Fox, the mission statement in the beginning is you need to make the first bundle of shows kind of similar because you never know when someone’s going to jump in,” he said. “Obviously you want to change it up as much as you can, but you also want to really nail home some dynamics. And the thing we started on was Jake and Holt and their friction. But definitely expanding it is something everyone has been talking about and excited about.” He added that his confidence in executive producers Dan Goor and Mike Schur, both of Parks, leaves him without any worries about the show’s creative direction. “Any time you have [Schur and Goor] at the head of a show, you know that when they choose to do it, it’s going to be awesome and interesting and real and vulnerable and funny,” he says.
Holy, Scandal, Sandra. My jaw is on the floor. I know ANY mid-season finale tease you give me is going to be vague…but I want it anyway!!!! — Lizzie
When I spoke with Guillermo Diaz about the episode, he claimed, “I think Shonda’s outdone herself. Characters end up doing things you wouldn’t expect. It’s a wild ride. We can’t wait for the fans to see it and experience what we’re shooting now. It’s good. It’s so hard to say! There’s so much we’ve shot, so I’m trying not to reveal too much.”
Any Parenthood scoop? — Dee
I hope I’m not the only one super concerned about the sale of the Braverman house. I feel for Camille, I do. But I’m with Zeke on this one. THE MEMORIES!! (I’m not good at letting go, guys…) I’m even more concerned upon hearing that an upcoming episode will find them showing Casa Braverman to an interested buyer. It’s ALL TOO FAST.
