So far, Reign has taught us all about the lives of royals (and, of course, the Queen’s ladies). Inside the castle walls, things are complicated, sexy, dangerous, elaborate, creepy, beautiful, suspicious, poisonous, and, of course, well dressed. However, with Bash and Mary’s potential marriage threatening Catherine’s family, things only promise to get more dramatic in the future. In the remaining episodes, fans can expect new faces, new backstories, and an uncertain future for Kenna.

We caught up with Caitlin Stasey (Kenna) to talk about what’s next for the show, including the arrival of Mary’s mother, about which she was quick to warn us that Mary’s mother won’t necessarily be her daughter’s ally in, well, anything. “I think the huge thing about [Mary's mom] is that you would assume off the mark that she is an ally of Mary, when in fact, what you come to learn about this era and these people and this time is that people are only allies unto themselves, so she comes with, I suppose, one purpose in mind and I think she can be very misleading,” Stasey said.

If that’s true, then who can we assume is Mary’s ally? What about Clarissa? Perhaps the mysterious girl really was trying to save Mary after all. “I think there’s a lot to come by the way of her storyline and her origins and you learn where she came from, what her background is, why she is the way that she is, and it’s all very, very startling,” Stasey said. “I think people are going to be incredibly shocked and heartbroken for her.”

And — the question on everyone’s mind — what are the chances we’ll finally see Clarissa’s face? “I don’t actually know! I don’t even think I’ve seen Clarissa’s face just yet!” Well, it was worth a shot.

But putting Mary’s enemies and allies aside, Stasey also talked about what’s next for Kenna and her onetime lover, the King. “Well, the King at this point has sort of dismissed Kenna in a very cold-hearted manner,” Stasey said. “By being connected to him, she was attacked brutally, beaten. Essentially she’s been dismissed for his purposes. She’s no longer his mistress, she’s not his enemy — her relationship with him is in flux and her life is now hanging in the balance. She doesn’t have a virtue anymore and she doesn’t have a station, so she’s just flailing until a decision can be made regarding her future.”

Like we said: Drama, drama, good clothes, and drama.

Reign airs Thursday nights at 9 p.m. on The CW.
