Olympics tops Monday ratings, rivals fall to new lows

NBC’s Sochi Winter Olympics coverage easily dominated Monday’s ratings, sending several competitors to all-time lows.

The prime-time Games averaged 22.2 million viewers and a 6.4 rating among adults 18-49. That’s down 13 percent from the 2010 comparable night of coverage from Vancouver, continuing a ratings trend with this year’s Games coverage of running slightly under numbers from four years ago.

Rivals were hit hard. Fox’s The Following and Almost Human? Series lows. The CW’s Hart of Dixie and Beauty and the Beast? Series lows. ABC’s The Bachelor? Pretty respectable, actually, but tied its season low. Others aired repeats. Full chart:
