The final episode for Josh Charles on The Good Wife Sunday was a boon to CBS, which was already poised hit a slam dunk with viewers thanks to the NCAA. CBS finished the night with a 2.3 rating in 18-49 and 11.7 million viewers, Nielsen says — with the Good Wife on track to post its second largest audience and second best 18-49 performance of the season.

From 9:30-10, Good Wife averaged 10.3  million viewers, a 1.7 in 18-49 (up oh-so-slightly from last week) and an impressive 2.6 in 25-54. It was CBS’ most watched series for the night, save what was achieved by 60 Minutes — which lured 13.25 million viewers because it came on late and right after college basketball. The Amazing Race averaged 9.8 million and a 2.0 rating.

ABC came in second for the night with a 1.8 rating and 6.4 million viewers, with most of its programs dropping from the previous week. America’s Funniest Home Videos earned a 1.2 (down 14%); Once
Upon a Time was even with a 2.1; Resurrection was down 8% with a 2.3 and Revenge was down 7% to a 1.4.

Fox was third with a 1.5 rating and fourth in viewers with 3.4 million. Family Guy continues to be the network’s most-watched show (4 million) on Sundays and remains the top performer among adults 18-34. NBC was fourth with a repeat of The Voice, followed by American Dream Builders (.8/2),  Believe (1.1) and Crisis (1.0).
