She should have known not to trust him after he blindsided her biggest ally right out of the game. And the truth is, she did know. But that didn’t stop Jefra Bland from being blindsided by Tony last night on Survivor: Cagayan. She called into Entertainment Weekly Radio (SiriusXM, channel 105) to talk all about the big betrayal, and you can hear the entire conversation right here on the InsideTV Podcast.
And Jefra is not shy about revealing things we did not see on TV. Things like what? Things like the fact that she got a clue to the immunity idol at last week’s reward and then searched furiously for it, yet Spencer never bothered to tell her that he had already found the idol. Things like the reason she ended up not turning on Tony after promising to is because she could not get Trish and/or Kass to join her. And things like the fact that Tony admitted to the tribe that the idol he pulled out at last week’s Tribal Council (that he claimed was fake) was actually real, although he did not tell them it was a super-powered one. Jefra talks about all of that and more — including her decision to bid on food instead of the advantage that could have kept her alive in the game — and you can hear our chat by clicking on the audio player icon below
But we start things off with past, present, and future friend of the podcast Gillian Jacobs from Community. What’s the word on if the NBC comedy is going to get renewed? Gillian tells us what she’s heard, how she feels about a potential Community movie, and why she is suffering from a current case of mistaken identity. She also gives us the scoop on her new movie, Walk of Shame, in which she peer pressures poor Elizabeth Banks into having a night/morning from hell. (Although how hellish can a one-night stand with James Marsden really be?)
Then, we are joined by two of our faves from Orphan Black — Maria Doyle Kennedy (who plays the mysterious Mrs. S) and Evelyne Brochu (who plays Cosima’s monitor/girlfriend Delphine). Whose side are these characters on? We ask both ladies that and much more as they give their takes on the latest episode — which was a big one for both of them — as well as what’s to come next on the BBC America clone drama.
