As season 6 of NBC’s The Voice comes to a close, EW caught up with the top three contestants — Christina Grimmie, Josh Kaufman, and Jake Worthington — to find out what they’re going to take away from this experience regardless of who takes home the crown during Tuesday night’s live season finale. Find out what the contestants had to say below:

CHRISTINA GRIMMIE
Despite a successful YouTube career prior to coming to compete on NBC’s hit singing competition, Team Adam’s Christina Grimmie says being on The Voice has taught her more than she ever thought was possible. “I’m a different singer because of this competition, and I’ve learned so many tricks to that have made me a much better performer. One of the most important things I’ve learned is how to add emotion into my performances, because for me, I’m an over-technical singer — sometimes I lack emotion, but because of this show, I feel like I have a better grasp of how to do that.”

JAKE WORTHINGTON
When we caught up with Team Blake’s Jake Worthington, the season’s resident country crooner told us that no matter the outcome of tonight’s finale, he is beyond thrilled by the number of opportunities competing on The Voice has given him. “This whole experience has meant everything to me — that’s what I’m taking away from all this. I got to meet major people in the industry, I’ve gotten to perform with Blake twice, and I’ve gotten to do just a bunch of really cool stuff. You can’t take that away from me regardless of what happens. Plus, I’ve gained a fanbase, which I’m hopefully going to take with me.”

JOSH KAUFMAN
Team Usher’s resident soul singer may have been one of the most consistent singers in this competition, but despite his meticulous delivery week after week, Kaufmann says he feels like he’s managed to pick up quite a few tips while competing on season 6. “I’m going to be a better singer, a better performer, better entertainer, and a better artist because of this experience. These coaches are all so amazing — you can’t help but take that away.”

Tune in to The Voice tonight at 8 p.m. on NBC to find out which contestant is crowned the winner of season 6.
