Go ahead and call it a comeback: Paula Deen — the former Food Network star who was dropped by her onetime TV home as well as several other business partners after a racially-charged lawsuit last year — is launching the Paula Deen Network, an interactive digital platform that will give viewers unlimited access to Paula from a computer, smartphone, or tablet.

“Guess who’s going digital, y’all!  I’m so excited about my new online Network and can’t wait to show everyone what we’ve been working on,” Deen said in a press release. “We’re going to have so much fun being together and cooking up some wonderful new and classic dishes. Y’all can get my recipes, tips and cooking anytime you want — this is for you. I can’t wait to crank up the oven and get cooking for the people I love: my family, my friends and my fans!”

The network will be subscription-based, which means fans will have to pay to participate. Though the network is expected to launch in September, Deen lovers can start registering as early as July. Those who pre-register might win a trip to join the live studio audience in Savannah. If you’re on the fence about the venture, a 14-day trial period will be offered to all users after the launch in September.

The network will feature step-by-step cooking instructions, as well as specific shows, such as “20-minute meals” and “Paula Cooking Light.” Deen will also offer lifestyle segments on decorating and all things Southern living. (“33 New Uses for Butter,” perhaps?)

If you’re feeling skeptical, a preview of the network will air via Paula Deen Live! Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22.
