After winning the first season of MasterChef Junior, Alexander Weiss has taken his culinary skills around the world—he’s done everything from cook for the British consulate to appear on the Fox reality competition’s Indonesian adaptation. Now the native New Yorker finds himself on more familiar ground as he returns to the MasterChef kitchen on Monday’s episode, alongside season 4 winner Luca Manfé. Watch an exclusive clip of the top 16 contestants meeting their guest judges for the first time:

Judge Gordon Ramsay “definitely has an eye on me,” said Weiss of the famously volatile British chef. “He gave me his email when I came back and wants to check in with me every couple of months or so. He’s just a dad at heart.”

Weiss’s travels will continue as he takes part in the first ever MasterChef Cruise this November, alongside judge Graham Elliot, Manfé, and season three winner Christine Ha. Though the young chef hasn’t even started high school yet, he’s confident that he’s already found his calling. “The show has brought me so many great opportunities and exposure to go on a do other things,” he says. “But I still just love to cook!”

MasterChef airs tonight on Fox at 8 p.m. ET.
