'House of Cards' not allowed to film at U.N. Security Council chamber

If fans see President Frank Underwood at the U.N. next season on House of Cards, it’ll have to be a U.N.-lookalike set. The United Nations has denied the Netflix show’s request to film in the U.N. Security Council chamber for next season, the Associated Press reports. They note that Russia shot down the ask.

“It’s disappointing for you, I guess, because you wanted to see the actors,” France’s U.N. Ambassador Gerard Araud told reporters Wednesday, per the AP. “It’s reassuring because I think the actors would have seemed so much more elegant than we are, you know.”

A rep for Netflix didn’t immediately respond to EW‘s request for comment.
